What strings and tensions do you like in your 6.1 95 16x18. I really like Lux Alu, but I haven't found anything else I really like also.

I am using Prince Topspin Plus strung at 57...not too bad, not real exciting except i do feel my serves were a tad more "spinny", but I am sure that is the mental part of the string coming through.

I seem to work my self up into a daze trying to find the perfect string and never sem to find the Holy Grail...maybe natural gut is where it is at...

I am hesitant to try gut on this frame as it is powerful and it eats strings, but maybe I will try it. Do you find that your strings are moving around alot at 57?

not much at all. there are a few times that i move a couple but nothing bad at all. The texture helps alot I am sure. I am on week 4 with those strings and dont really feel they are ready to cut yet. I am just anxious in trying something wlse in it and would love to do a Klip Legend 18 gauge but am scared...

    Hi, iscottius:

I am still using the Ncode 95 you sold me. The more I use it, the more I like and, and the better my results.

I found a very cheap hybrid that I like. Gosen Polylon Ice 17g main at 57 lb and Gosen OG Micro 17G cross at 59 lb. It works for about 10 - 15 hours before the cross starts fraying.

I tried the reverse once and it only lasted about 2 hours.

Glad to hear you are still liking it, I have two of them and really like the racquets as well. IMO the racquet plays best with a poly string, will try the set up you recommend. I haven't really found a syn gut or tension that I like for the 2nd ncode 6.1 95.

Yes, it needs a poly in the main. Otherwise, it is too powerful and the string won't last long either.

Wih a poly in the main, I found it has the perfect combination of power, spin, and control.

anyone hit with both the 16x18 and the 18x20? Please give your thoughts on the difference of the 2.

I have the 18x20 and love it but want to hit with the more open pattern to see the difference.

    Thanks

I have two of the n6.1 16x18 95. A friend of mine ordered a 18x20 as a demo. I played with it for about a half hour. I much prefered my 16x18 over the 18x20. It just played better and I felt that I had better controle with the 16x18. thats my opinion. Good luck!!!

Hey guys I just found this thread from the search function. I strung my new 16x18 with head FXP 17 and it is a serving weapon but way way to powerful elsewhere, Tonight I done the dodgy thing and cut the crosses out and replaced them with Signum pro poly plasma,
"didnt want to waste the fresh FXP" it probably wont last long as I suspect the plasma will cut the fxp quickly.

Has anybody tried a full plasma job in this frame? Anybody tried cyberflash in it?

I've been using Gamma Revelation 17, Gosen Micro 17 and Hurricane 18 in various hybrids in my n6-1 95s. My favorites are Hurricane mains/Micro crosses (best all-around), Revelation mains/Hurricane crosses (nice feel and spin, but not durable), Revelation mains/Micro crosses (good pop for indoor play).

Alpha vengeance plays pretty well in a full job. My next full job will be SPPP 16g.

After trying many combinations I settled on Technifibre Spinfire 17 mains and Gamma Live Wire XP crosses. Very good longevity (about 3-4 weeks at 5-8 hours / week), great feel and control. I'm using that same setup now in the O3 Tour MS I'm playing with.

I am using timo 18 mains and PSGD crosses at 55 pounds. Plenty of spin but I'm looking for a "softer option". Timo plays a little stiff.
