    Hi there,

I'm tired of my SP setup. Due a knee injure my technique is suffering a bit and using SPPP 17 + string ports is not helping. My groundstrokes are quite unstable and I believe that using a 16 poly + string holes might help! I'll try http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpageACUNIQUE-UBIGHIT.html (Big Hitter), but I'm not sure about the tension. I'm thinking about 55. What do you guys thing?

I am currently using a TImo 17g in mains and Wilson NXT 16 in the crosses. So far so good. It is the first time I have tried a poly and I love the spin and control. I might go with a diffeent poly in the future but I think i will stay with the hybrid. I am using the string hole inserts and the NXT is at 61lbs and the Timo is 57 or 58lbs...I will have to look at my card to remember.

The review of the Big Hitter did not sound that great. I recently switched from Lux Ace 18 to Kirschbaum Proline 2 http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpageAC-PL2130.html and found it to be a bit more arm friendly and is holding tension well. I do not break strings but the Lux always felt dead after a few weeks of play. The Proline comes in several gauges and the red looks good in the black frame. I've also added some lead to head to help with some of my depth issues.

I'm using the Ports because I like the muted feel a bit better. On the Proline 2, I'm using 17L at 58lbs and it still feels great after 3 weeks of play (2-3 days/wk). I added 4 gms of lead at 3&9 and 2 gms at 2&10. I first started with the 4 gms at 3&9 which did not do much, then added 4 gms at 2&10 which was too much. So while hitting with a ball machine, I just kept peeling off lead until I found what worked best.

BTW 1/2" wide lead tape = 1/2 gm
