here's an article that mentions a few names. not sure that they made a major impact on the industry but they are in high up roles within the industry.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I don't know how some of them influenced the Automotive Industry, but I did get a couple of good names to choose from. Thanks again.

Your boy could get pretty creative if he chose to profile XIBIT and the boys from West Coast Customs.

He could end the presentation with something like, "{flcik} you've officially been pimped."

    steve,

if you're not a racing buff you may not know that there is loads of data on how the sponsorship of nascar racing teams affects the fans who watch. although max doesn't directly influence the auto industry there is an indirect influence on the public. I think DEI uses GM products. nascar is one of the fastest growing sports. again, loads of data on this too.

i think this is a very interesting topic, please keep me/us updated on who your son chose to write about.

How old is your son? Too young to use the internet/library database? Why are you doing his research?

    I was thinking something similar.
If it's his project to do, then finding and choosing a suitable subject is certainly part of the education.
A good teacher will grade on not only the content of the essay, but also on the choice of subject. That's why the kid should choose the subject.
