I have a 6.1 blx team 18x20 pre 2012 version. I like the frame but i when i play with my friend's liquidmetal radical mp, i love to feel the momentum of the racquet when i take my backswing. Blx team has a low static weight at around 10.7 oz and swingweight around 312 that doesn't allow me to feel it. When my racquet drops, i feel like i'm holding nothing in my hands.

With lead tapes, i will try to get the similar feel with liquidmetal, which means i need to increase swingweight a bit up to 325. Also i don't want to go over 11.2 oz/320 grams because my arm doesn't allow that for now. I think the basic question is how can i achieve to go from 312 to 325 sw with adding 8-10 grams of lead tape ?

    ^General rule. Approximation, not exact.

    x any weight at 12 by 3. So 1gram at 12 o'clock = +3pts in sw.

    Any weight at 3+9 and x it by 2. So 1gram at 3&9 = +2pts in sw.

Also, use the search function. Plenty of good info on here about modding.

Thank you very much, really appreciate. Also is there a general rule for balance too ? I mean my racquet is 3pt headlight now. How does it change if i put 8 grams to 3 and 9 o'clock ?

The ratios provided by isilra are good in my view.

Also, go to TW manual customization tool to see impact of adding lead.

I think you might want to consider your balance point too. I would caution about only adding weight to the head and making the racket more head heavy. Read the threads on customization.

Even if you go above your 11.2 max by adding handle weight to adjust the balance toward head light, it will not "feel" heavy. Handle weight has very little impact on swing weight.

I blogged about racquet customization lately. You can look at some pictures on my blog http://samtalkstennis.blogspot.com/2012/10/racquet-customization-fundamental.html, and I hope it gives you some idea. Sorry the description is all in Thai.
