I'm looking to upgrade my Dunlop 200G Muscle Weave to something more current. Demo options are limited here as is the cash to order several demos online. I tried the Hot Melt 200G when it was released, and didn't like it at all, much more soft playing and had a muted feel to it. Is the current Aerogel 4D 200 G more similiar to the MW 200G or the Hot Melt 200G? After an intial search through the rackets on this site, my to contenders are:
    Aerogel 4D 200G
    MG Prestige
    MG prestige mid
    K6.1

    Anything im missing?

Why are you changing,, That is a great racket and as good as any of the new iterations. As long as it is in playable condition i would use it.

I'm looking to change frames because I only have one MW 200G left that is still serviceable, the other two have gone the way of the Racket Graveyard.

If anyone has any suggestions on rackets that play and feel like the MW 200G let me know, please.

Last year, I was able to try out the M-fil 200 and the Aerogel 200 along with my Revelation 200g and Muscle Weave 200g. I felt that the Aerogel 200 was most similar to the Muscle weave 200g. It may be a tad stiffer than the MW200g but otherwise quite close in feel relative to the other racquets. I have not tried the new 4d version of the Aerogel so I can't offer any input there. I hope this helps.

I agree that they are similar, with the AG200 feeling and measuring a little stiffer (ra 61-62 vs. 59). Note also that the swingweight of the AG200 18X20 is higher at 331. It's a little lower for the AG200 16X19 -- 326.

One thing that is important for me is the AG200 and MW200G have throat bridges (at 6:00) that are thinner in beam than the rest of the hoop. This design feature contributes to their similarity in feel, imo.

I will switch from AG200 back to MW95. I couldnt detect what was so great about the MW95 a year ago but now I really start to appreciate this rod. The AG200 is easier to handle though, it has a greater sweetspot and more power. It is one of the easiest racquets to volley with and to block returns. The MW beats the AG on feel and spin generation.

Another modern racquet in the same ballpark you might want to try is the Bab pure storm limited. I played one strung with gut and it had a lot of the same properties I loved about the mw.
