I was browsing through TW and saw that the reel form of Babolat Duralast was on sale for $50. I have strung it for a few friends before but have never tried it myself. I was wondering if anyone could give some feedback on the strings, because the sale sounds pretty good. I was thinking of getting a 16g reel in blue to keep my string breaking customers happy.

It's a stiff first gen poly with terrible tension maintenance. If you either break strings in under 2 hours, or you're willing to restring every 3-5 hours then look no further.

I just bought a reel when it was on the 40% off. Now I'm reading there was a Tour Duralast, and I'm hoping Nadal was using the non-Tour version I bought. I'm not a Nadal follower in any sense, but I thought it was cool that I could use the string that he had used. Either way, it was very cheap, and will be good in either of my poly/syn gut or kevlar/poly hybrids, and i also am partial to full bed poly setups. Again, would just like to know if this or the Tour Duralast was Nadals string.

Also, it says made in Taiwan, was Duralast always made there?

I have never tried them personally but a good friend of mine who is also a stringer said it had to be one of the worse strings he has ever played with. He has been playing for over 30 years.
