Hey everyone, Great forum, lots of good info! Anyway, I recently got back into tennis at 24, after playing in HS. My game style is heavy top spin on the forehand, and plenty of my own input power. One handed back hand. Flat, but fast 1st serve. I'm about 4.0 player, semi western grip. I used to play with a Wilson Pro Staff 5.7 EB 110. After doing a some research I ended up with a Prince Speedport Red, because it was suppose to be a good spin racquet. I like the racquet, but it has seemed to change my game a lot. I used to hit with a lot of topspin, and with racquet it seems like I have to hit a lot more flat or the ball will either sail long, or spin with no power. My flat hits have developed quite a bit though. Also, with this racquet it feels like my back hand lost it's power, and is really just used for defense now. I did find it serves well, and I do like the control and volley skills. One thing I don't like is it seems a bit flexy. Likewise it is light, so when I am caught in the middle of a swing and made contact with the ball, it just pushes the racquet around. And the strings move all over the dam place! So, I'm looking for a spin friendly racquet on top spin, with probably medium power, mid size, that is relatively stiff, medium to higher weight, and allows for good backhand power. Luckily there is an excellent tennis store near me that demos all racquets. I picked up a Babolat Pure Drive Cortex 107, as it seemed to fit the bill. Anyone have any other suggestions on what to demo based on my criteria? Thanks!
