I'm getting a new Youtek Speed 16x19 any day now, but I want the most soft durable string out there. I tried the RIP Control already with my other stick and it didnt manage to last too long, and that is only the 2nd time i've broken strings.

So im trying to find maybe the softest sythetic gut or something along those lines.

Please keep in mind that I do not want anything over $10.

Thanks guys, always appreciate the input!!

Sorry to be a party-pooper, but there is no such thing as soft and durable and under $10!

I haven't played it, but plan to try out some Forten Sweet 17. It seems to have better reviews than a lot of more expensive strings. Technifiber Multifeel 17 is also pretty good. For more durability go up to the 16 gauge version.

Also Ashaway Dynamite is a bit of a different string but should provide everything you are looking for once you get the tension sorted out - you need to string it lower, the thing to sort out is how much (10-15% seems to be a general consensus...).
