For about the same price, which of the above is better?

Or is there any shoes around the same price range that would be ideal?

Hope anyone can share their input, thanks!

fwiw, i love the 654s. they lasted about 2 months (i play 10-15 hours/week), felt super comfy right out of the box, and are fairly light. that and wide sizes are a godsend. my feet would not survive without the ee size offered by nb.

i just ordered a pair of 655s that should be in sometime next week. hopefully, they're pretty similar to the 654s.

I just tried both shoes on yesterday and the 655s felt much more comfortable than the 654s. They also seemed a little bit wider.

Tirand 3s are an ankle roll waiting to happen (they offer 0 stability). I enjoyed the one pair of NB that I owned.

The Tirand's aren't tennis shoes. They're more like casual shoes designed to look like tennis shoes.

i've never tried the tirands so i can't comment on them. as for the arch support on the nb, i honestly have no idea how to tell. i haven't had a problem with my arch's, so i suppose it works for me. the only thing that really matters for me when buying a shoe is the width.

Just say no to Tirend III, unless you enjoy rolling over your ankles, over and over, again and again...

For that price range, try out the ACB 2.1.
I really want to try the new Barricade Team. Looks like the "Tirand" for the Barricade VI.

i've played maybe 4 hours in the shoes so far and they seem to be wearing quickly. i play about 10 hours a week, and i doubt the shoes will make it through two months. it's strange, but i think the 655 feels more comfortable, yet the 654 was better to scramble in.
