Hey guys, I just had the opportunity to demo/ purchase the new Aerogel 200 4D from my local pro shop. I had previously used the old Aerogel 200 along with a number of other racquets and found this new stick to be compareable to the old one. From a spec standpoint, the new 4D specs out pretty much the same as the old model. I noticed that the racquet had a very similar feel but to me felt more solid than the older model especially on harder hit balls. I was able to crush groundies, serves, and hit crisp penetrating volleys with this frame. Plus the new paintjob is pretty cool!! Just curious to see if anyone else has hit this stick yet and what your thoughts are.

    Specs:

    Weight: 11.3 (unstrung), 11.9(strung)

    Balance: 320 mm (strung)

    Swingweight: 318 (strung)

    Stiffness: 62

I strung this stick up with a Gut Polyester blend with the gut in the mains at 57 lbs.

Thanks for your report. Did the pro shop also have the 16X19 version of the 200 4D?

And I'm curious about what strings and gauges you used. Thanks.

Great. Thanks. I was just curious.

If you'd care to post more as you play more with your 200 4D, I'd be very interested to read about it.

    Cheers.

No I haven't but I've wanted to give it a shot...16x19 have more pop and spin for me, so I'm starting to like them...

    How did they compare?

is the 100 just not being made in the US or is it not being made anywhere at all? the 200 open pattern is only in europe, but you can still find them in the US on occasion.

The aerogel 100 is now so Dunlop tell me a US only frame, I guess the market isn't there for a "4D" version.

When will TW carry the Dunlop Aerogel 200 4D 18x20? I seen they have other 4D racquets but not the 200.

I played with both the Dunlop 4D 200 (16/19)and the (18/20). The (18/20) was better for sure? I was able to hit more heavy forehands with it! But you definitely feel the difference in weight. The 200 (18/20) feels waaaay more heavy for me. So it's maybe strange but for me the 18/20 had more power...

i have never tried the 16x19 but with the 18x20 I tried today, it was very solid. Lots of control, felt good on serving and volley was perfect. As for ground stroke, I can hit to the baseline with no effort with sufficient spin. This is based on 2hrs of practice :D
