ESPN has a new commercial with Roger & Stuart Scott. Check "You Tube" if you don't have ESPN. It's pretty funny.

It was cool to see Roger in an ESPN ad, but honestly, it was kind of lame IMO.

Fed can't act. It was a 30 second commercial and he was all tense and looked unfortable.

I don't really think Federer did that badly, I think it was more the premise of the commercial was kind of lame... I mean the one w/ Steve Irwin tackling the Florida Gator was pretty funny... this one... not so creative.

I searched the YouTube site using "ESPN Federer commercial" and it returned an old commercial with Neil Everett. Nothing else.

    Anyone got the link?

He's not acting. I think they shot the commercial without his knowledge.

All I could find was that old one with the "sportscenter anchor rankings" bit, which has been out for a while. Is there another new one?

the commercial is OK. I think the bigger under current is that ESPN has finally wake up and realize that Fed is the one to promote to draw more tennis audience. Apparently they have enough brain to abandon Roddick or the Williams.

Hopefully this is a good sign and in future coverages they will pick to cover matches that are more interesting to knowledgeable fans.

I didn't care for the Sharapova one; I think they're best when they give the players as few lines as possible and don't try to make actors out of them. The one with Pete Sampras and the ball boys was one of my favorites.

fed is a little uptight in the new one, but it is actually funnny, and quite like his personality. Non-Tennis fans won't undertsnad it that much, but the sharapova one had a funier premise, but was really bad. Stuart scott didn't even say anything and she immmediately apologized. If it was more than 30 seconds, it could have been a lot better.

haha...i remember that one...hilarious...now that makes me think if roddick has any input on how these commercials are made. because i know he has a unique (sometimes strange) sense of humor...

Viper, would you post a link for us to that federer one you speak of?

I've seen that one yesterday, about two times. This time Fed's acting weren't that good either. He said "funny, real funny" pretty well, but his facial expression was nuetral, when he should act angry and have a frown on his face.

Here is the one that Viper is talking about. It's the same thing as the Sharapova one, exept that Fed's in it.

Well, Federer usually does not show emotions (apart from tears of joy :)), so why _should_ he do so here?

    Thanks Dan007 for the link

My cousin brought up a good point and I didn't notice it before but the Fed one is actually dated before Maria's. That's how Maria was on to Stuart Scott about the snakes in the can joke. So Fed's commercial is like a flashback :D.

I must be silly for just now noticing that.

The best Tennis commercial is a follow up of this one. The girl at the ticket desk is all like "one ticket there, and two on the return, right?" and Roddick says "nope, that'll just be 1 on the return," since he hasn't been winning any trophies lately... lol.

They aired it after his 1st round loss at the US Open.

One word, the one word that was the biggest flop in tennis commercial history, if you put it a certain way.
