No. I keep plenty of water & gatorade with me. Except one time, we played a 3/5 set match and I only had a few bottles of Gatorade with me and my asthma started acting up.

Hey Khanh, I missed this post. I believe ya all the way. Seriously, Vietnamese are overachievers all the time!!!!! Back in my HS 2 valedictorians back to back were two Vietnamese sisters.

Now I'm surprised that you do not play an instrument. :)

You guys can stop trying to defend me, thanks but it's no use. The people that believe me, believe me, and the people calling me a liar, obviously don't. No matter what we say, the ones that think I am lying won't change their stubborn minds.

    I believe you kid.

You've got nice ball machine strokes that many juniors have with some serious practice time-1 year, 6 months, whatever. Its just that some people on this forum seem to be easily impressed. But I respect anyone that is willing to put in the effort.

Its good you're excited about tennis. But be forewarned; when you take your game into USTA tourney play at the boys 16 level be prepared for a letdown. Those guys have been playing tourneys for years and they don't feed you ball machine balls. Thats when the serious work begins. Hopefully you will be able to afford the entry fees. If not, sell the ball machine, it'll only hold you back.

    Good luck.

    ^^good post. I agree.

This guy has some serious work ethic.

So batman, do you own a ball machine? surely no single human being would be willing to hit for so long....

I see. Did you play other racket sports before tennis? I saw your older serve video, your serve was not as good even compare to your older FH.

This reminded me of myself...20 yrs ago. Nowaday, my knee can only take a few hrs of running around. One advice, get real tennis shoes with good cushion. Your knees will thank you later.

Like other said, you need to post video of your newer serve.

When will you be playing your first USTA tournament? Do you know how they work in Texas, or do you need me to explain it to you? I think you could be a champs player. I currently have 60 points in 16 ZAT. I won a 14 ZAT tournament and went into Champs. Ufortunately i didn't play many champs tournaments because they are farther away, so i went down to 16 ZATS, i just reached my first final in 16 ZATS, and i plan on winning the next tournament.:)

It's not just his forehand, his serve, and ESPECIALLY the heavy topspin two handed backhand all lean towards some suspicion. BB is just flat out calling him a liar, I just have my doubts. If he is telling the truth, more power to him.

i'll rest my case due to some thoughts provoked by a different thread.

GWB, do you have any vids of your tae kwon do stuff? i used to be hugely into that, although i never did any tournaments or whatever. have a couple vids of myself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWpIMNEclxo
    and
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9g5gMaUAbY

most are very impressed that i never got a belt higher than a yellow belt (with green stripe!).

it goes white, yellow, green, blue, red, red/black, and then black. can't remember where brown goes.

anyways, i lost all flexibility while in college...used to be able to do the splits even during my freshman year -_-

hey hyogen, looks like you were pretty good at TKD, so you only got to yellow belt?, ha I guess I dont want to **** off a black belt..., but yeah, thats looks really nice for a yellow belt, even though I know just about nothing about TKD
GWB: cool to see some people are believing you, you have any idea when we can see your new videos?

thanks, yeah.. the belt really doesn't mean much...just that you've memorized and practiced "forms/patterns". I've seen some black belts with horrible technique and would be highly vulnerable in a real fight.

but then again, I find that most people who do TKD are a little too confident with themselves. The high kicks and jumping stuff are mainly for show or finishing off moves...lol. This is apparent in those ....what do you call it.....Ultimate fighting championships. usually the guy who can get the other person on the ground will win by either pounding away at him while he's down or by putting him in a submission hold. lol ;)

I remember thinking I could fight anyone or a group of kids back in the day. might have been able to scare them off, but if they rushed me--I would be in trouble -_- still I love watching martial arts movies, from which i learned some moves, where one guy takes on like 10. hahaha

    Hyogen,

If TKD is like Karate, brown comes before black. :)

Don't you love the distrust in these boads? lol.

Anywayse back to the matter... i can see the improvement and your change in the windup and possibly a grip?..to a western? Though i not fan of such a big windup yours shots look fluid...that being said when your trying to further improve you shots be careful of not to overemphasize the windup as leads to inefficiency to the economy of motion...similarly like in TK you want to have a quick but powerful shot that gets to A - B quick tho without compromising on technique...also like in Tk keep bouncing on your toes sometimes your a flat footed...My Two cents!!Keep practicising that goes same to everyone on this board since were not all pros means there levels of inefficiency in all of us..;)

I just got home. Today we played from 1:45 to 6:30 so not as long as yesterday, but we got some GOOD footage. I'll try to finalize it, rip it, and convert it as fast as I can for you guys, then I'll make a new thread

WOW, wtf Daniel just called me and said he had the other plug, it was hidden under the manual book and crap. My mom/sister won't drive me down there because it's @ Wortham which is like 20 mins away, just to get the plug. We might have to wait until monday to get this stuff uploaded

I just realized we have over 30 mins of footage and I am too tired to edit this together, edit stuff out, etc. So I will do it all tomorrow. Sorry, It's already almost 10 o'clock and I am already too tired from today lol.
