    O3 Speedport Tour Graphite OS

    box shaped beam
uneven beam now: the hoop will be around 3-5mm wider to make room for speedports
    crossbar stablizer
    same weight and balance
    pure graphite
no dampener like other o3 models--good ol hard grommets at throat

    Somethign like dat?

Would this be the much-touted racquet being developed for blake? Or am I very very wrong there?

They're insulting the POG tradition with speedports.

But, who knows? Could be great.

Just hope they don't stop making the standard POG.

    Bluetrain:

Just because you whinny'ed about it, Prince will now make:

    the NEW POG OS 2007

This is your permanent replacement to POG, which will be discontinued.

    Headsize: 135 sq in
    Length: 28.5 in
    Weight: 260 G strung
    Balance: 8 pts head heavy
Rounded, circular shaped beam in throat (what famous racquet has this exact property ;) ?)
    Stiffness 72
    Beam width 28-32 MM
Material: Graphite, Carbonite, Aluminite, Fiberglassite, Ironite, titaniumite, Sodomite, [K]arophite
    Power level: SUPER POWERED
Swing speed: Please do not move while on court

    Technology:
    TTT
O3 holes at tip and throat
    Speedport Holes on sides
    Air handle
    More Construct Tech
    Extreme Graphite

And then they'll come over to your house, rob you of all your POGs and leave you with about 5 of these sticks.

To be considered a POG, it has to have a straight beam and the same can't be thicker that 19mm... Btw, that racquet exists already; it's the Diablo Tour MP.

    Prince Technocrap!

Prince has to be the most marketing oriented racquet manufacture in the world. They constantly come out with new and improve racquets every year.

I mistakenly bought into this “technocrap” concept and purchased an O3 White and O3 Red racquet. They have very little feel and too much power. Furthermore, they are so stiff that they hurt your arm.

The POG was and is a good stick,. Most of their new stuff is technocrap.

The Tour Diablo Mid could be seen as an update to the POG Mid. But, the Tour Diablo MP is way to light to be a considered an update to the POG OS (plus it's 7 sq inches smaller.)

I'm not saying the MP isn't a great racquet, I'm just saying that given it's specs, it really couldn't be a replacement for the POG OS, the way a Diablo Mid could replace a POG mid.

    The hell with speed holes...

Keep that **** green and 19mm thick and introduce a dense pattern version instead.

    A POG midplus (98 or 100 sq inches) would be great. 16 x 19 pattern, around 12.1 oz, 6 or 7 pts headlight, SW 325-330, flex 63.

    Grommetless POG

A grommetless POG would be kinda nice. Update the current one, make it a bit heavier, bit more power and a nice leather grip... I'd bite :-D

All they need to do with the damn POG is maybe, maybe a comestic update...but, they need to make the handle longer for two-handers. That's it!

Perhaps. Definitely doesn't look like it though. The NXG mid (92 SI) has a very strange head shape although it hits really nicely. I have 2 of them :-D

I'd like to see a 27", 98-100 sq/in head racket with all the same specs as the POG OS. Maybe a little more HL but that's just me. And the traditional black with green but with a little more flash. I've never personally tried the longbody but I've been told a cut down longbody just isn't the same.

A "new version" of the POG is not possible, because the 'O' in POG stands for ORIGINAL.

Apart from the addition of the grommets and different cosmetics, has the POG changed over the years?
    I honestly have no idea.

Remember the 1st POG had no grommets an d a leather grip. The stabilizer bar is different.

Yeah it has changed. The new one's are a lot lighter. Although lead can substitue, it can't subsitute that old feel.
