Mongo, if you actually read the beginning of his post he was saying that he was posting sw's response to an email he sent them. This wasn't his own wording. Anyway, you seem a bit paranoid. Relax and enjoy life.

Like duffman said, all the info i have posted has been quotes from emails they have sent to me, after i have asked some questions. They are very detailed in their response, hence the long posts by my here. I recently bought used SW MS200 and regularly ask them about why they chose to design the machines the way they did. All im doing is telling people on here, what SW have told me so they can learn and make a decision on what machine they want

. . . you seem a bit paranoid. Relax and enjoy life.

    Duffman:paranoid on a Friday? Never! A Monday or a Wednesday . . . very well could be!
First: What does that post have to do with previous posts in this thread?
Second: The syntext of the first and second paragraphs is identical. I have many emails from SW and this is not his writing style. There are too many pronouns misused and switched for a paste job.
I just have too long a history w/ SW and their BS to let this thing go. It has no place in this thread and I'm throwing down the gauntlet. It's been implied that I never received a Quantum even after I posted detailed photos. These same people always show up to add their 2 cents never speaks from personal experience, in most cases, and challenges the posters who have had dealings w/ LF. I'm now turning the tables and pointing out what I believe is really going on here and in other threads. I've just returned from one of my long overseas trips and was catching up. We am thrilled to see LF has finally gone online. They love their strings but finding they was not easy. Now them is. LOL!

I also am one of the people that had to deal with laserfibre and their bs.

It really is quite intriguing because when i could finally teach Tim, he was genuinely nice, explained everything to me, and was extremely curteous.

However, the way they handled business was crap and outright lies. They told me everyweek that the "shipment was expected this week" adn that they could have it shipped out by next week.

It was the same story every single time i called, if i could even reach them.

And did i mention they already had my money?

I had to deal with bullcrap for months before i finally had to call my credit card company to get my money back.

I remember checking back months later and people were apparently still waiting for the machines.

Hopefully they've cleaned up their act since splitting with stringway.

Tim, if you are reading this you need to explain. The mounting system and tension head system goes against LF philosophy.

I sent LF a note on the new LaserFibre Quantum TT - Premium w/DA Clamps and received a reply within 12 hours. My question was concerning weight, and LF surprised me, it is only 41 pounds. It might be the perfect portable machine. My old drop weight was 72 pounds and luggable, but not something you move often.

FYI, the LF quantum is available with flying clamps, but they're not the same stringway flying clamps. And the flying clamps version is upgradable to Fixed clamps.

I would be very interested in reading about the experiences individuals might have with the "new" LaserFibre store.

I noticed that at the very least they have changed the wording on the shipping information page. When I ordered my Quantum in May, their policy was to ship within 24 hours after charging my credit card. Now they simply state that they'll ship AFTER you pay. The question I would have is in the meaning of the word "AFTER."

By the way, my Revo 4000 was shipped to my door within 3-4 days (can't remember if it was 3 or 4) and I ordered on a Sunday! I'm very pleased with my Revo, to say the least!

After my initial success in ordering (and receiving) 2 sets of Supernatural Gut ProStock I decided to try other LaserFibre strings to see if I can find something cheaper but with the same crazy-ass playability that I found in ProStock.

I placed an order to buy:

    1. LaserTour (enhanced synthetic gut / monofilament)
    2. Laser Lite XL (thinner gauge monofilament with better durability)
    3. RuffCut, new multi with rough/textured surface for better spin
    4. Supreme (high-end multi, but not quite "gut replacement")
    5. Elite (high-end multi with a different core material, "limited availability")

After seeing my order in the "Processing" stage for 3 days I emailed LF asking them if they intended to ship it or if I should file a dispute with PayPal. I did not get any prompt response, so I just filed a dispute in PayPal's Resolution Center (rude dude I am, I know). Shortly after that Kathy from LF emailed me saying blah-blah, my order had been shipped and I should get the tracking number soon (never got it).

I did receive my order yesterday. Everything was as expected (without RuffCut - LF had emailed me that "RuffCut was backordered and will be available in 3 weeks"; so I got my payment partially refunded for the missing set).

So, LF is alive and shipping. Kinda.

Some news on LF Quantum TT machines:

"We are currently sold out on all Quantum’s (both Premium’s and ECO’s) The 2011 versions will be ready in about 6 – 8 weeks (for holiday season). They’ve made a couple of small updates and the new pricing will be a little less than the original prices. We also usually offer free shipping between Thanksgiving and January 31 each year so that timing also works for the new 2011 edition, lower pricing and the free shipping. For more details on the new updates, Tim or Ted will have to help you."

I guess Tim/Ted can be reached on their t/f phone, 888-895-2350, 8am-5pm EDT.

damn, they don't sell reels of the pink syn gut in 17g and the set pricing plus shipping is not worth it.

I will ask again... and so far no answers:

Has anyone purchased a new Quantum stringing machine from the LaserFibre store in the past 18 months AND actually received their order?
