Thats 3 pts Head light. I still wish they had made rds001mp in 27.5.

rexking, i hear the new yonex buttcaps (TW sells both the old and new ones) extends your frame by 0.25".....what do you think?

they even said that the newer frames with the new racquets are made .25" shorter than before...to make up for the longer buttcap..................

i have both types of butt caps. yes the new one is thicker than the old version. but babolat caps are even thicker still.

so....the new yonex buttcaps AND even babolat caps will fit on an old RQiS 1 tour?

by how much would you say? .25"??

Yes it would fit. They have very similar grip shapes (babolat and yonex). Won't be exactly 1/4 of an inch but its the closest you gonna get, about 5mm.

bah...i looked at the pictures of the buttcaps on TW.

the new one is the one I have... (the one that has a glossy polyurethane coating).

Maybe i'll try a babolat buttcap, but i doubt that'll make a .25" difference.

Hyogen, what was your main reason for deciding against the RQIS 1 Tour?

I'm in the market for a comfortable frame that has good control and decent pop.

hmm.. well at least for my game and my lack of fitness at the moment, I'm gonna turn to a longer frame. RQiS 2 tour.. i find that it feels very much like the RQiS 1 tour (which i LOVE...it's very comfortable and a joy to hit with).

Also, I still crave to hit with a PT630 and as soon as I get my hands on one, I have a feeling that I'll give up all other frames :) RQiS 1 tour has great great control and just ok pop...depending on the strings...much lower powered than the thicker beam suggests in my opinion.

I have one in 8-8.5 condition if you're interested, btw ;)

the website is www . tennis nuts . com by the way

http://www. tennis nuts .com/shopscr8036.html

the 27.5" really makes sense. wow, maybe i shouldn't have bought the RQiS 2 tour now.

Thanks...wasn't sure how picky they were about posting links....tried to be clever with the "dawt"...

I was going to order one this afternoon at work, but got busy and I'm just getting 2 it now...looks like a good deal with the exchange rate as well....works out to about $145 US...

GREAT! I just finalized the order...with shipping it worked out to about $180 US, so not quite the deal I had hoped. Then I find this:

Arghhhhh!!! Guess, I'll just have to get the ruler out when it arrives! It would be nice if Yonex would put definitive on it's U.S. website...

were you just quoting the site I posted or do you have another source for these specs? seems to be some misinformation out there....I just hope the 27.5 is for real....

thanks...

Well....there goes that one....They updated their website....27 inches...and won't return my emails.

I hope I at least get the racket.

anyone have any experience with "Tennis Nuts"?

there's a bad joke in there somewhere; let's just leave it alone....

Yeah was quoting the site you posted. So no 27.5 after all...major disappointment...

Yes, indeed.....not only is it not 27.5, but I still can get no response from Tennis nuts...

The only good part, is that it hasn't hit my credit card yet...

we'll see.....

what the heck were they thinking putting the XL? surely they should know that only means xtra long....

they have an xtra light version already--the rqis 1 tour light!

I really think this is 27.5"

This racquet is definitely NOT extended length. It's a slightly lighter version of the RQiS 1 with a different paint job. It may possibly be stiffer as well, but I haven't seen any official RDC numbers yet. With most companies XL usually means extended length, but this is Yonex we're talking about. They do things differently.

we'll see.....

Got it today...just got through hitting with it....more details later...

Looks and feels GREAT so far. LOTS of pop...almost too much compared to the RQis 1 tour light that I hit with about 3 weeks ago...

I just got an RQis 2 tour about 2 weeks ago while I was waiting to see if tennis nuts came through.

I was really loving the 2 until I hit with the 1 xl tonight, now I'm not sure which i like better. I like the length of the 2 and the balance, but swinging the 1 xl feels incredibly fluid; just haven't found my groove yet....I'll be hitting again on Thursday and I come back with a full report!

So, I guess the consensus so far is that the XL is quite a bit more powerful than the original RQiS 1. Sounds interesting.

Ridiculously so.... I can't keep it in the court! I REALLY want to like this racquet, but so far the RQis tour 2 is kicking the butt of the RQis tour 1 xl 100...

I am, however, now extremely curious about the RQis tour 1 xl 95, and 95 light...

I think the combination of the larger head size of the 100 and it being head heavy compared to the 95 and 95 light being head light make the 95s more controllable frames...

We'll see....I'm gonna demo the 95 and 95 light....I really like the pop on the serve of the RQis tour 2 (the extra length maybe?) and the feel. I LOVED the feel of the RQis tour 1, but it was WAY underpowered for me and I had to kill it to get any decent pace....although my placement was greatly improved, I lost considerable pace compared to the Prince Speedport 03 tours I had been using...

Where's the best place to sell a VERY lightly used racquet? I'm selling my Prince 03 speedport tours over on **** and they are going for way cheaper than I'd hoped...I'd like to get close to what I paid for this one, considering I've only hit with it for about 3-4 hours...

Thanks!

The New RQiS Tour 1 XL is AWESOME! All the feel of the RQiS Tour 1 and more power and control! I LOVE IT! Just put the RQiS Tour 1 XL 100 and the RQis Tour 2 up on that auction site.....great racquets as well, but the RQiS Tour 1 XL (heavy) is the one for me! Groundstokes, doublebackhand, SERVES, all were greatly improved with this racquet...

I have found my "Soul-stick"!

adios!

Played with the new RQiSTour 1 XL 95 and loved it -- bought 2. Well-balanced, comfortable, average power (what I wanted), and the typical yonex pop.

Lol as soon as I order the rds 003 2008, all this new stuff pops up. Whatever, this is gonna be my first yonex, so if I like it, I'll probably use this stuff.
