I just took over a high school program that would be considered an inner-city school. I started with only 7 guys and now I'm up to 18 but a few need a racquet but they don't have a lot of money. These guys are "beginners" to where I had to teach them how to hold onto the grip, footwork, etc. So they won't be able to tell the difference between frames and strings and what not.

So what's a good racquet for beginners that's only $40-50?

I dunno, triple threat scream MP?

    They wont know anyways.

But if it were me, I would mod all the sticks with weights and mag tapes so they roughly match some popular specs? (300 grams unstrung, headlight, etc etc.)

The string is probably naturally syn gut.
