just saw a bunch of the new 2011 blx lineup at my club.
    new strings
1 wilson nxt control - wilson's attempt at a tecnifibre promix type string, little more lively than the k gut but not as powerful as regular nxt.
2 wilson shock shield. has gel inside, didn't string it up yet but feels like a standard synthetic. reminds me of klip kicker before stringing.
3 wilson sgx - dodmt get to touch the string b ut supposed to be a crisp syn gut like reaction.
4 wilson red alert - red copoly. didn't get to see it yet, triangular shaped monofilament.
5 enduro pro - i know it's not a new string but comes in a variety of colors (red, silver, black) and feels way softer than the previous versions of enduro pro. look for more pocketing than previous version.
6 lux adrenaline rough- pretty straightforeward. adrenaline in rough texture
7 lux savage - wilsons attempt at babolat's rpm with a lower pricepoint.

    as for racquets
    1cierzo = 120 head, 9.8 strung, 27.9 length, 8pts hh , 16x19 , 29mm dual taper . a reincarnation of the sledgehammers.
    2 stratus 3 = 115 head, 9.7 strung, 27.5 , 10pts hh , 16x19 , 30 mm dual taper
    3 tempest 4 = 110 head, 8.7 strung, 27.25 , 14 pts hh, 16x20 , 28 mm dual taper
    WHAT I REALLY CARE ABOUT
4 blade tour blx = 93, 12 strung, 7 pts hl,27 , 18x20, 20.2 flat beam. better cosmetics, makes the racquet look heftier, not so thing
5 blade blx = 98 , 11.3 , 27, 2 pts hl, 18x20 , 20.6 flat beam. plays softer in the head but les flex in the shoulders/throat of the racquet. love the update. comes in pink for the metros too95 head, 11 strung, 27.5 , 4pts hl, 16x20, 25 mm dual taper. has the power holes. closer to what henin uses, just put come awful natural gut in there and call it a day
    6 tour limited blx -

there's other new ones pro lite blx, blade team, blade lite blx, tour lite blx, bold blx,

I read an email annoncement from Wilson sent to playtesters, this is a nylong string, Red Alert, confirmable by many who did the playtest on here.

You might want to put this in the racquets section as well and rewrite the section on 'what i really care about' for clarity.

    Many thanks.

^^ 1 euro for a set of Big Hitter Silver?

12 euros for Wilson red is disappointing though. For that sort of price you might as well just stay with a hybrid.

18 euros for 'Shock Shield' is just plain ridiculous.

TBH, with the exception of the Wilson Red strings, all of the 2011 Wilson strings look disappointing. There seems to be a huge swing towards marketing and gimmicks rather than focusing on performance. They're clearly aiming for the low end rec play equipment fiend market here rather than the player market.

i'm going to move the info

i'm going to move the info to the racquet section later today and try to get some pics from the catalog online so you can see the new sticks. the henin limited racquet info got put above the title at the end of the blade info if you wanted to know the specs. 95 head, 11 ounces, 27.5 length, 4 pts headlight, 25 mm dual taper beam with the power holes and basalt grommet technology. same 16x20 pattern, throw in crappy quality natural gut and you've got yourself a french open.

Please answer my question. I love the 6.1 blx tour and is definitely my racquet, but when I play more than a straight hour I start to suck because of its weight.

no six-one team 90 blx sorry

northing new for the blx 6.1 models, they're all out already. blade family (93, 98 in black/ gold or black/pink) , 104 team and 100 lite.
henin tour family branches out with her own signature tour model and a lite version with a shorter (26.75 length) , new blx bold, a lot of oversize lighter frames.

Would you ride naked, save for being covered with peanut butter and Crisco, on the back of a bull trampling through the French Quarter during Mardi Gras?

got to try the SGX 16...
great string plenty of pop off the stringbed and great control...
it was actually really soft, and i noticed I got more spin with the SGX than i had with any other synthetic gut i had tried...

had it strung in my kSix-One Tour @ 53 lbs
