Saw this on Facebook a few min ago-
That video is laugh out loud funny.
It's also bound to make 75% of TW forum members lose control of their sexual organs.
that isnt really what its going to be called right ? lol
Federer's hilarious. How does he keep a straight face?
That was quite possibly the dumbest promo video I've ever seen.
interesting, but what does it say ??
does it say 20X, POX?
Maybe 20X just means 2010.
There's probably an X involved in the branding though. X-(something).
Im included in that 75% category:shock:
Was the Ksix.one hyped this much on the forum? People's excitement over new paint is unreal!
X is the roman numeral for 10 so it is probably just wilson matching up the name of their new model with the year they come out
frame looks mostly black which is good to see
X factorrr!!! (is a crap show hopefully the rackets'l be better..)
X-tra Terrestrial tour 90 jk
Can't be X-factor because that would sound like the show.
I think "next" or more appropriately neXt may be the name of the new line versus the 20X which is most likely just the release date. This is just a guess of course but that's what I gather from the video and the description beside it.
Just please, please don't let it be black and GOLD as the graphics and 'glints' in the video show.
You sir have the eyes of a thundercat. If your right about black and gold I'll purchase you the new 90
Hahaha - Thanks! I'll email you my shipping address just in case
When the K90 came out I was not 100% sold on the design, but a few years later I have come to love it. (I use the Asian K90's).
Gold though .... ugh ... no matter how nice the design is ... gold is gold.
I'm really not a fan of all the 'bling' Fed's been wearing lately (ex: Wimbledon outfit). I really like the more classic designs such as the KPS88 for example. Even with the red/white/black design of the K90 - I think the matte finish on the K90 makes it work, but I'm not really sold on the shinier version on the 6.1's. That's personal preference of course.
I think a matte Dark blue and Black with a gold foil on the symbol would be a really amazing racquet. but yeah I'll get you a pair of vapor 7's to because that racquet angle is a really tough one to see colors.
2010 can't get here fast enough! hahha
Oh well, time for me to pick up cheap K-Factors.
That's what I was thinking too. I love the K90 especially in 4 1/4 grip.
Based on the colour and design of the video ... it 'might' look something like this...
good lord, thats really solid
Looking forward when the new paint job is available. Makes the prices for n and k frames drop.
X Factor FX
X FX
Holy crap, why don't go with an easy name???
Anyone up for an X90?
After the T90, N90 and K90, then yes surely it will be known as the X90
Pretty dayyyyyum cool!
watch it'll be something like x-seed or something very lamee but who knows maybe it'll look cool
lol it would be funny if it's p90x!
They should call it the GOAT90.
If you pause it, you can see some red.
Packaging is vital in selling consumer goods. The video with it's overwrought mock solemnity is a hoot but not out of line with other Wilson ads.
Better than the Head Djokovich ads that ran in the summer at least (but how could they be worse?).
So will the hype work again? Yes. Of course.
The only red I see is coming from the throat, but then again, either it may be somewhere else or it's just the stencil reflecting onto the racquet.
Not gonna be black and gold. Companies use colors to signify racket heritage. Unless they are going to market his pj as a brand new stick (not 6.1 tour) then it should still be red and black.
isn't that the outfit from the US'08?
While that makes sense (and is what the last two version did), if you look at the PS Tour 90 which was around before the n90, the colour scheme was mainly black and yellow with a 'dash' of red - and overall a very different look. I think in the end the marketing folks will go with what's hot / current versus keeping with tradition. I'm a big fan of consistent marketing, I just don't think it's a golden (no pun intended) rule that will always be followed.
PS Tour 90:
i noticed that outfit to it seems a little shady why hes wearing that for a 2010 add
That would be me.
What's wrong with gold? It looks great as was confirmed by the KBlade.
Red and black might be my least favorite color combination, along with Red and yellow.
This is probally the best racquet commerical of all time
Of course they're marketing it as a brand new stick. The last 3 Tour 90s have had different color schemes. If they're smart, they'll use colors that haven't been used in the past to create a truly new and striking marketing campaign.
Using the same colors would make people think of the last racquet, which you don't want. People need to be convinced this new racquet is "all new," not only kinda new.
Maybe the red and gold outfit is foreshadowing to the colors of the racket. Just my $.02 worth.
ha ha ha, i got a good laugh from that photo.
is there a release date for these new rackets?
It totally reminds me of this...
Horrible just horrible.
Babolast, what is your avatar. Those shoes are beautiful
That was too much! LOL, all I can think of is the intro to Iron Chef, when the Japanese guy with the long hair takes a bite out of that bell pepper. Serious, cheesy and pretentious - all in one look to the camera. Excellent lighting, BTW.
It is amazing how nice Roger is to his sponsors. But I must admit, I'd be wayy more of a Roger fan if he kept it real and did away with the manpurses, the jackets ... and hilarious ads like this.
Can you imagine a more manly Roger with a 2-4 day growth, a barbershop haircut, a basic black Tour 90 and a clean/simple FILA or Diadora shirt?
Since Red is Rogers favorite colour, maybe it's red and gold? Video is hue'd to death.
BAD NEWS for Fed's opponents next year, that's the look "I will take all the 4 slams!!!"
Separate names with a comma.
