The colorway looks fine in my opinion. Federer pulls off most of the outfits he's given by Nike, and he's worn a worse pink before (the all pink polo with brown shorts from 2011 really hurt my eyes). These are just pink accents, plus the shirt doesn't have any holes in the back (like the poor fellow wearing that horrid pink Lotto shirt).

And don't forget, only real men wear pink!!

you had better be a pretty darn good player to sport these new Pink Vapors to your local courts. Or be named Roger Federer...

Yes, not something I would wear. But, design-wise the colorway is awesome!

I read on a French online shop (can't post link here for obvious reason) that the grey/pink polo is for "Night session", and the blue one for "Day session".
If it's true, it's been a long time since Federer have 2 outfits for the AO. I think it would be great :)

Then... I wonder which shoes will he wear with the BLUE polo ???
(I really can't imagine the anthracite/pink V9 with the blue polo...)

So far, the available spring colorways are anthracite/pink (AO), and orange/white (post-AO)...

Awful color blocking on Nike's part.

I still think that these aren't as bad looking as those Bubblegum 2.3 Ltd. Edition they released a couple of years ago.

What color socks do you think he will wear with it? Are we sure its the black shorts he is wearing with the outfit and not the white?

I am scooping a pair of these up ... not every shoe has to be Black, Red, Blue, White etc.

Frankly once I bought the obsidians, I was bored and disappointed with them after a month ... Love the Flames ... Love these ... The colors on ID are way to basic. I would rather purchase each Vapor Fed wears at each of the Grandslams ...

There was a research that power lifters lift less weight in a pink room.

I had hopes that Federer might be able to pull it off just by a slither, but to no avail.

    Dat pink and short shorts!!!

Outfit works just fine on him. Certainly not his worst, but indeed far from his better looks. Out of the four majors, the Australian Open makes the most sense as the pink contrasts nicely.

I completely agree with you. The kicks & the pink details on this picture are making much more sense than seeing the individual pieces of apparel.

I bet you Blake was messing with him a bit about wearing pink, then Roger was like "yeah, but they're paying me $13mill a year to do it" and Blake craps his pants.

Just wait until the volt comes out.

Fed wearing ID's according to Nike Facebook. Interesting. Wonder if he will wear both the pink and ID's

Federer not wearing retail pink! Wearing 'custom, custom' ID's instead!

Gotta like the one you want Federer to wear!

Interesting, when I first designed a custom pair of V9s i came up with this exact same design! I think it looks great, but why would nike have fans blind pick the shoes if we don't know what outfit it's going with?

It looks effeminate and soft. Not sure that's the image a tennis warrior wants to project.

I wrote somes posts ago that some French websites are selling the neo-turquoise polo as "day outfit", and the grey/pink as "night outfit". I'm happy the websites were right :)

Also, several TT members and I were betting on an iD version to go with the neo-turquoise polo, to promote the V9iD. That just makes sense...
And following that logic, Fed should choose the neo-turquoise iD that fits well :)

Thanks for sharing those pics. Kinda wish I'd held off doing my custom ID's - might have gone with one of those.

That's not going to help sales - what does it say if Roger doesn't wear them?

Those are awesome. The joke on everyone is the fact that Nike's still advertising shoes that you actually CAN'T make yourself on ID -- you can't have a different colored tongue like those, nor the RF logos, the championship decals, and that forefoot piece on the sole.

Does Nike ever sell IDs in bulk for less money? Like some of Delpo's ID designs that he wore last year, didn't they end up releasing those at normal price or no?

Oh come on those flame pack shirts went like hot cakes. I had to freaking use the 50 dollar TW gift card my sister gave me for Christmas, on Christmas Day to get that shirt in my size. And they only had two left when I ordered it.

Yeah I agree, though it's the next best thing, but I find Vapor 9's customization to be very limited.

Whereas for other running shoes or the Kobe's, you can customize the hell out of them.

I guess these are the benefits of being the best player of all time. That and all of the Lindt chocolates.

I have some work to do.

Do you mean the t-shirt with Nike Tennis on it? I got that - very cool.

Saw these shoes in person at Niketown yesterday - ridiculous. Stevie Wonder wouldn't wear them.

The Fed shirt is nice - just not $90 nice.

Now that it's quite obvious that the turquoise is the better outfit, I suspect these pink vapor's will hit outlet's pretty heavily. The real question is would you be willing to wear them if you can get them for $59.99? I'm not sure I would even at that price.
