I met with my Wilson rep today, and here's what he's been able to confirm:
    1. Paintjob will be a dark steel graphite/slate gray color with red accents.
    2. RF version will have Fed's autograph.
    3. Racquets being discontinued for 2015 include
    A. Prostaff 90
    B. Prostaff 95
    C. Prostaff 100
    D. Prostaff 100LS
    4. Prostaff 95S will carry over
    5. He hasn't heard of a new luxilon string for 2015 (rumored by some on here, and does not necessarily mean there won't be one for next year)

No, the line will have entirely new paintjobs and a new look. Like specifically asked about if we were being teased by the ps95 legacy paintjob and my rep said "no". He also said that it's not black but a "steel graphite or slate gray"

OK, but the 100th Anniversary Editions are "steel graphite or slate gray", not black.

We had one in the store I work at. The paintjob was a glossy jet black.

Really? I haven't seen one in person but when it was first released, many people said it was a metallic charcoal gray.

They're discontinuing the 90? does this mean I should start buying a bunch of the 90s while they're still out there?

Yeah, it's definitely black. The consistency of the paper on some of the print ads made it seem lighter. Looked much better in person. All black with metallic red highlights.

Also they'll be releasing red and blue colors of the Optimus string for 2015 to go with the Prostaff and Juice lines, I forgot to include that.

OK, thanks. Personally, I would prefer a matte slate gray to a glossy black.

I concur and I think most people in general prefer a matted finish to a glossy one. All I will say is that in my experience a matte finish doesn't get as dirty as a glossy one.

Yes, absolutely. The 90 is being discontinued at the end of the year and never coming back.

What!!! Why would Wilson kill the best racquets ever made? :(

They better release Dimitrov's racquet to make up for this.

Let me add my personal thoughts to this thread...

You are clearly basing your claims on this post that was revealed on that italian facebook page. I could believe, but I won't.

Sadly it's true about the PS90, 95, 100L, and 100LS. Unlike some posters who have thousands of posts, I only report things when I have them confirmed from my reps. Things are always subject to change during development, so I will keep you all posted.

It's definitely A LOT different in person. Same with the LTD Edition Juice.

They are very shiny and glossy. Reminds me of those Serena/Venus limited edition black and white blades from a couple years back.

I know this has been asked before in this thread, but just to clarify - Wilson is killing the 90 entirely? Have sales on the 2014 model been that slow? I'm sure all the anti-mid posters out there are enjoying this, but personally I think this sucks. There is such a dramatic difference between the 90 and the 95 PS, and Wilson doesn't have any other sticks that play similarly at all to the 90. I'm surprised there isn't enough of a niche market to keep the classic line going.

Some have suggested a 340 and a 310 version, as well as a lighter one, in another thread.

The irony is that the classic Federer has killed off the mid.

I would have thought it would go upon his retirement, but with his switch he has killed the mid off even quicker.

OP, I have no reason to doubt your sources unlike these other cynical posters. Because, what do I know?

However, I certainly hope your Wilson rep was misleading you when it comes to the discontinuation of the Pro Staff 90, and to some extend, the Pro Staff 95 as well.

Please Wilson, long live the box beam!

The most important question is what is the swingweight?

With the same static weight and balance as the Tour 90, the significantly bigger headsize would most likely make the swingweight much higher than that of the Tour 90, unless they really altered the weight distribution.

I'm hoping that they just mean that they will no longer be marketed as Pro Staff and that the 90 stays around. The nCode, K Factor, and Six.One BLX all were missing the Pro Staff designation.

Wilson will not have the 90 or 95 box beam racquets going forward. The Blade 93 will also most likely not be available in the next update in January. I will try to confirm going forward on the blade but Wilson would like to move on from the Mid-sized racquets.

Wilson has been trying to ditch the 90 for years, according to my rep. They've been trying to get Fed to switch for more than 5 years apparently. Their sales of it are awful, somewhere around 10,000 racquets worldwide. That may seem like a lot, but when you consider all of the online retailers worldwide, it's quite pitiful. What we are finding is that the mid sized, thin beamed racquets don't have much of a place in the modern game.

If you love it then why find a new stick? Racquets last a very long time and you could just stock up.

For me they don't last at all. Usually under 10 months each. I'm just really hard on them. I can probably keep buying them into next summer hopefully before they run out of them.

Can you ellaborate more because you must be super good player and super strong to "wear out" a tennis racket in 10 months?!
