My vote is for Cyril Suk. I met him at Delray Beach. This guy is pushing 40-years-old he had his son tagging along with him. He took a good five minutes to talk with me after a practice session. I told him he had one of the classiest backhands I’d ever seen. He laughed and said a lot of guys have better. He told me about his racquet (Volkl C10) and gave me an impromptu lesson, showing me in slow motion his backhand swing and then letting me try to duplicate it. Turns out he’s been on the tour for nearly 20 years! After our talk he said, “Since you like my backhand so well I’ll give you some water.” He smiled and handed me an unopened bottled water, which was much needed. Then the guy goes out and he and his partner are up to the doubles semis at Delray. Super nice guy. I’m hoping he can stay on the tour past 40. Go Cyril!
