If I were Niemeyer, I would choose the latter. The competition notwithstanding, nice words from him.

Hung out with him a little bit last year when he was trying to qualify for the US Open. Really cool guy and nice to talk to. I saw the last 2 games of his win today vs kunitsyn. too bad he's up against Roger, otherwise Id be rooting for him for sure.

I'd typically root for Roger against anyone but I'll be giving my support to Niemeyer this one, he's retiring afterall anyways.

He's no bum. That's not nice.

Yes, Fed is the favorite, but I'm sure the "bum" can make it a bit hard for him.

SPOILER ... but the match is 20 hours old now or so.

I did watch it this evening. Last match of telecast.
Neimeyer played well taking Fed to a TB in the first, and saving a couple MPs at 5-3 before Fed served it out.

I was laughing at Djoko for being taken to a TB in the second set and then I find the same with Fed. Hope these boys sharpen up fast.

The difference was that Federer was always in control of his match, while Djokovic was trailing in both sets at some point.

You would not know that if you were trolling this forum while watching through the corner of your eye. That Peter Fleming thread took priority over my life :-D
