Are they "real" tennis shoes meant to be worn on the court? They look so retro and more styled for going out with friends. Anybody tried these on the court?

I bought a red pair some time back of the nike classic series to wear casually and decided to play with them on court one day. Soles showed some wear when I did bring them on court that one day. It's not really made to be played in a match, some casual hitting would suit these shoes better.

The red ones were what I bought, switched out the red laces for white and it looked awesome.

I guess the arch support on this shoe is not that great too.

This is a different shoe then the one martini1 is talking about. The Classic 12 seems to be designed to be used on the court whereas the one you purchased is more for casual wear. There was a thread some time ago that discussed the Classic 12 and the reviews seemed to be quite good.
