Does anybody know where to find these socks?
I've bought them in 2009, back in the days they were available in your local shop, but now I can't find them anymore.

I have found all mine at Nike Factory stores in the US. & another major online tennis retailer located in a state that starts with "O" used to sell them. Actually, those are a pair of my socks in the picture you posted!

I bought mine on a Dutch webstore called T...D..., but they don't have them in stock anymore .. looks like these socks might be discontinued.

I have to be extra careful about mine then, since I love these socks for tennis : >

Nike really need to reissue these. They were the perfect thickness and really helped with my blisters. Elites are okay but a little thinner and certainly more synthetic (only 15% cotton). These tennis-specific socks were 60% cotton if I remember correctly, but others may know exactly. Closest I've founed is the Nike Half cushion dri-fit (45%) but they are much thinner than these. Wearing two pairs is not something I've ever liked since I used to play soccer growing up and I hate the feel.

Anyhow, when I last spoke to Nike on another matter they hadn't heard of them but I quickly emailed a product specialist yesterday to ask again so will keep you posted. I may try Thorlos at some point but being 0% cotton I'm not so sure.

BTW, were the socks on this thread (Fit-Dry Tennis) $7.99 a pair originally? Curious as It's been a while and I forgot.

I got some of these laying around. I bought 5 or so pairs recently and only have used two. They are, by far, my favorite tennis sock. I usually double up these with 1 pair of thinner Nike basketball sock (thinner than Elite) and my feet are very happy!

HCB and I had a little discussion on whether or not the retail ones are any different than a PE sock. I think our only conclusion was that the PE socks have a slightly higher percentage of cotton in them. That thread is around here somewhere.... =)

    Cheers!

Local shop in Paris told me last year they were discontinued by Nike. What a shame, loved them.

This thread, right? How do people know the cotton% of the PE socks? I remember the socks we're talking about were 59 or 60% cotton and felt great. HCB's picture of the very similar sock (lower swoosh, grey cushioned portion does not reach as high on toe or heel) ) is interesting as they are about 85+% synthetic and not as thick.

Bri-Guy- if you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for the socks and did you find them at an outlet? I'm still working around my blister issues (Elites, athletic tape and vaseline are all helping but I miss these socks)

Yeah, that is the thread. Sorry my pics were removed. My Flickr was getting full. Anyways, my PE socks have a higher percentage cotton (70% cotton, 15% Poly, 13% nylon, 2% spandex) than my retail ones like you have in your picture from HCB (58% cotton, 25% poly, 15% nylon, 2% spandex). To some it may seem dumb to fuss over a slightly higher percentage of cotton, but I swear they feel different.

I got a good deal on the socks, anywhere fom 2 to 6 bucks a pair. Just PM me and I will give you all the info you need to find this fantastic, higher % cotton, sock!

    Cheers!

I think OP's first picture and HCB's picture of socks are different one.
HCB's socks were retail version (not sure what year) anyway the product numbers are SX3634(L) and SX3638 (XL).
I think OP was looking for retail version but seems like it was discontinued so can't find it anymore. Looks like retail versions are better (thicker).

I strongly think Nadal's or other pros (I saw berdy and delpo wore these) socks are PE socks (same as 2010 US open socks; black/hot lime).
I just got some PE socks yesterday but it was just OK socks. it has decent cushion but not like HCB'S retail version. Also PE socks does not have DRI-FIT or L, R Letters. I think elite is better socks though.

Can anyone suggest some other crew socks that are comparable to these (other than the Elite basketball socks)? They don’t have to be Nike.

However, the rules of TW say no selling new items, only used- just a heads up so you don't get banned bud.

21 new Rafa pairs here at only $2.99 apiece. Been enjoying for a while now. Gave 3 of the more common lighter gray to a regular hitting partner. Drowning in px cotton and elites, different but both great :)

I'll for sure email you over some pics but I wasn't planning on selling any after giving a few away to my friend the other week.

There are two PE socks, very similar but the packaging differs slightly and one is darker grey (I'm no Nike expert, I was told about the color difference
while I noticed the packaging difference by accident the other day when grabbing my socks for my buddy). No difference in feel or composition (70% cotton Dri-Fit). Neither have L/R or Dri-Fit written on the sock itself- that was only for the 58% cotton retail versions.

Let me know where to send pics.

Just a word to the wise from the wise..... item # 280820906996 from Puerto Rico are the retail 58% cotton dry-fit tennis sox. He says they are PSX175, but they're not. The ones he has pictured have R & L and Dry Fit on the toes, the real pro exclusive sox PSX175 don't have those markings.

item # 280821748748 are the real deal pro exclusives with the 70% cotton that Nadal wears. Buyer beware.....

He clarifies his socks are 58% cotton. I'd more make it buyer beware of the guy selling them for $15 + $5 shipping apiece when the 70% PEs can be had for $2.99 a pair. I'll keep wearing mine and gifting the excess to friends, this online jacking up the price thing isn't for me but to each their own.

rafathechamp- hope you got the pics so you know what to look for. As you can see my older PE socks have "Nike FITDRY Tennis cushioned for comfort" on the front while the newer ones I've got say "Nike FITDRY Cushioned Tennis Arch support for stable fit". They are basically the same sock though.

Hmmmmm. People regularly gladly pay $130 for shoes, $80 for shirts, $60 for shorts & $200+ for a racquet. $15 for a great sock, not so bad in the scope of things.....

It's so obvious it's your own listing. Way to take advantage of the good will of others and make a profit off of it.

btw these socks suck to anyone who doesn't worship nike, or nadal. cotton is terrible because it pills really quickly and wears extremely fast. Polyester is the best by far.

Polyester socks are the ones that pill, not cotton. Ever have any poly/cotton blend sheets?? They SUCK because they pill all over after you use them a few times. Polyester makes your feet slide around in the shoes because it is too slick. AND, polyester sox make your feet stink because they absorb odor.

Please don't comment when you have no idea what you are talking about.
