Hi, i recently bought a new nikeFIT light hat. The blue and grey one, with the black Nike logo. It shows the sweat line pretty easily, so i went to wash it and i just put it in a tub of water with soap. I did not scrub it or anything, i just let it soak. I put it outside to dry. When it was dry, you could see that the bill of the hat where my sweat line was is a different color than the other half. It also has a sweat line. What did i do wrong? When i wash it, should i scrub it or squeeze the excess water out? I thought letting it soak would do the job.

I just wipe it with a warm cloth.

I have a black and a white Nike DriFit feather light hat and I have hand washed them both several times with no problem. I don't let them soak for long. No scrubbing either. Just agitate them in the soapy water a little bit, then rinse once in clean water, then hang them dry.

Not sure if these are the same kind of hat yours is, though.
