Anyone else having trouble with Nike's outfits, particularly Federer's line?

The Nike swoosh and "RF" are pretty much just pieces of tape on the fabric that deteriorate after washing about 15-20 times. Anyone else getting this? Even if you use gentle cycle, cold water, and inside-out...

    Just annoying I guess.

I hate the iron on swoosh. I think it's a joke that Nike still uses them. If you're not careful you can have them melt right off in the dryer. Anything that has an iron on swoosh should only see the dryer for a couple of minutes or you will ruin it.

I don't have any of Federer's collection, but I have tons of Nadal's , and the swoosh and bull horn logos on all of them are perfectly intact, the oldest one being his 20122 Aussie Open outfit. All of them look just about as good as new, and the way I've kept them in such great shape was by washing them on a cold cycle and hanging them up to dry. DO NOT USE A DRYER. Your clothes will last longer if you do this, guaranteed.

I second the do not use a dryer!!! The Dri-Fit stuff should not be put through the drier otherwise it will not be as effective. Just line dry them and they will last much longer. I have a couple of RF shirts from three years ago that have been machine washed for about 30 times now that I line dry and they are still in great condition.

The only thing I do notice is with color shirts, they tend to fade from UV exposure when you are out there playing for a few hours.

I hand wash them and they still come off, no way to deal with them.

Well if that's true then everybody should just go for Nadal's clothing line! I've had no problems with any of them.

You profile says you're in Vietnam... any chance you buy your shirts there?

In my experience items bought in SE Asia are sometimes inferior quality. I've had two of the supposed exact same polo bought in Bangkok and Melbourne. The one from Bangkok wore out (threads pulled, logos got tatty) within 6 months, while the one from Melbourne was still fine 2-3 years later. (both bought from major retail locations)

Also when buying shoes in China previously I've come to the opinion that you may as well accept they're all seconds - even if you buy from a reputable store. The amount of shoes I've had which the glue has come undone or something is somehow sub-par etc is almost a 100% hit rate. But shoes from TW etc the rate is like 15% tops. (I had an issue with a recent pair and they replaced them immediately - other than that haven't had any issues)

I wonder if it's some unwritten theme with their gear that they send first runs or stuff which doesn't make the top quality grade to places which they know they wont have to deal with complaints seriously.

Yup, bought it in the Nike Store. And yes, there's a pulled thread on the striping of the RG'11 polo. Other than that I have no problems with all of my other stuffs (shoes and apparel alike)

@lovelybone : I dont like Nadal's stuff lawl. Well anyway, to clarify handwash is the way to go. But it wont stop the problem, just slow it down. And fyi once it peels off a little bit I get pist and rip the whole swoosh out haha

Hey, got your message through email. Could you please provide me with your email also? :)

And are you like...a foreigner, just out of curiosity :)

Anyway dont know if you want to play with me or not, I'm probably 2.5-3.0 now. Only played for a year back in 2009 and I only spent like 6-7 months on court in the last two years due to continuous minor injuries and illnesses...

Oh and I'm in HCMC too, district 3...

lol of course not, cool water. If that's the case then I'd be typing with my feet :)

Oh and wait, now I remember sorry. The ones that have the swoosh came off are the one that I threw in the washer sometimes.

For the ones that I baby, nothing happen yet but it just like two months passed.

Sorry all for the misleading post, my memory is very crappy recently...
