Nice but it does not have a separate racket compartment to carry rackets, no? The product description does not say that it does, and in the picture the side compartment looks only wide enough for just one racket.

Looks quite nice. Certainly something different / original. Would like to see how the insides are arranged though and what small pockets it has.

    It doesn't have backpack straps...

    Another racquet bag to avoid...

Is it just me, or does TWU takes ridiculously close-up shots of their bags that doesn't really tell its customers anything?

What the hell are we supposed to gain from these pictures?

Backpack straps are an overrated PITA. The roomy carry straps are perfectly sized to quickly sling over the shoulder and go. The only dealbreakers for me are the price and lack of side racket compartment

It only takes a few more seconds to put on a bag that has a backpack strap. :-|

If your racquet bag is heavy, the amount of weight is placed on your shoulder which causes aches and possible injury.
I do agree if the amount of space is not enough for a bag, it's not for me. :)

Have to agree to disagree here. Backpack straps make a bag much easier to carry around.

Guys, I just looked it up on a competitor's site and it DOES have backpack straps. They are on the bottom of the bag. I guess TW Europe didn't find that feature important enough to show it.

Edit: they are on the other side not on the bottom of the bag.

I still wouldn't buy it because it's not a Boris Becker bag. :)

Plus, it's white and the wear and dirt would be blatantly obvious..

That's because they're too busy taking close-up pictures of the bags that leaves you wondering: "where the hell is that on the bag?!"

From the pic, there is what looks to be a narrow single racket compartment on the side yet the TW description does not indicate this. At 90 EUR (USD $120) I wonder who it will sell to? It might take Rafa or Fed to shift these and if so, they'll walk onto court with laughably even bigger Nike duffles/man-bags than they normally carry.

Why would you need to worry? I have a Pacific Basalt X bag (very nice), with Dunlop racquets. All I care about is the quality and utility of the bag.

Strange that there's no mention of racquet compartments....

    > Tennis bag
    > Large main compartment with zipped internal pocket
    > Ventilated shoes compartment with outer mesh pocket
    > Insulated cool pocket
    > Zipped accessories pocket to side
    > Dual carry handles to top
    > Cushioned, adjustable shoulder strap
    > Backpack carry system with adjustable shoulder straps
    > Nike Swoosh
    > L77 x D35 x D24cm

I couldn't resist and bought this bag last week. I wanted a non branded tennis bag so I peeled the ugly coloured logo off (very easy to do.) now it looks much better without it.
I like the bag a lot, it's a high quality bag and not too bulky.

I got this one in yellow.

In ten years, it'll still be around and that Nike bag will be a distant memory.

    28" x 16" x 16". Actually, it's the perfect size.

I don't like multiple zippers, compartments etc. This on does have a mesh pocket in the lid, otherwise everything can be accessed via ONE zipper. I like that. Plus it's made of rubberized (raft-like) material, waterproof (mostly, it does have a zipper) with Ballistic Nylon bottom. It will last and also double as a great travel duffel.

It is perfect for me and I did some searching of actual "tennis" bags before i decided tennis companies know very little about building luggage.

But that's how bags look nowadays. Bright "LOOK AT ME!" color schemes in all the wrong places.

    ???

I buy bags for their functionality. Near zero brand loyalty here.

I'm using last generation's Babolat Aero 12pack "LOOK AT ME BRIGHT YELLOW" bag to store my Wilson BLX90's. Although I can see why it gives some people a mind f*** with the mentioned combination, haha.

Well, the Boris Becker bags function just fine for me.

In my opinion, it's just tacky for me to play with a racquet and carry another brand of bags. It's just how I function.
It doesn't mess with my mind, it just gives me the judgement that he/she doesn't have brand loyalty or doesn't care about what he/she uses.

That's why I've seen people at the last tournament I was in use only Babolats, and cheap racquets from Walmart,Academy, Dick's, etc.
I've only seen 1 guy use a Volkl and others use "noob" racquets from Head,Wilson, and Prince.

@MAXXply, Say Chi Sin Lo, and other posters,

I apologize, the images are far too close up (I'm getting it re-shot!) and the back pack straps were actually overlooked (we do think they are important) because they are hidden inside a zippered pocket on the side of the bag.

The positive to this is that they tuck away really nicely when you don't want to use them.

About the bag in general: It's actually really cool (IMHO), and I think it can hang with other bag brands even though Nike isn't known for making tennis bags. It's more a duffle style shape, but it's a lot bigger than your standard duffle and definitely designed for tennis.

The racquet compartment actually has two material dividers that allow you to lie racquets in the bag so can hold up to three racquets without covers. The main compartment of the bag is really spacious too and has accessories pockets in there for organization.

If you have any more questions about the bag, please let me know!

    Siobhan, TW

But it wouldn't hold a modern racquet. That Spalding probably has a 65 sq. in. head, a 100 or bigger wouldn't fit. Also, don't kid yourself, leather can and does rip. But it is a very nice looking bag.

    Why use a leather bag?

It's vulnerable to tears, weather, etc.

Plus, it's not worth $550 AT ALL. :)

Just wondering Siobhan, is there a larger version of this? Holding up to six racquets is pretty minuscule to me. :-|

Plus, the duffle bag style isn't really for me anyways. I like the styles of the Tecnifibre bag and the BB bag that was posted here earlier. It's shaped like a rectangular prism. :)

You've got to be kidding... Nike would not bother to make tennis bag at all, let alone 6 pack or wider. Too small of a market. They used to offer a tennis bag few years ago, but it looked like University teams gear. Now they offered something really good for tennis players, so it's time to be pleasantly surprised. You have plenty of bags from every racquet manufacturer, why even bother with this thread? :/

Overdrive you rookie, TW's Siobhan has done pretty well to respond to this thread's questions about the bag, don't p!55 her off by asking more inane questions. Heck if TW knew what was coming down the line why would they even deign to tell us anything? Maxpotapov is right to say you are already well served by other brands for what you want or need. This is a tennis duffle - deal with it.

Can you imagine if Sampras was playing today and he rocked this bag? In black, no less? Heck I wonder what seismic disruption this duffle would make to the category if Fed or Rafa both started toting these bags?

The pictured grey colourway looks easily dirt-and-stain-prone IMO. I wished there was the option of a Sampras-esque black version.
