    Siobhan, do you know if the racquet compartment is padded as opposed to just material? Thanks.

    I think I'm going to take a punt on this regardless. It's subtle and stylish, and much less 'in your face' than your typical (massive logo) tennis bags.

    And for any US customers, this is not available here in the States. Sorry!

    Thanks,

    i remember having a VS Babolat bag LONG before they ever made tennis rackets. i kept my pro kennex rackets in it (mid 80's).

    you see, Babolat ALSO makes strings, and back then that's all they made (well, they made grips too, and bags of course).

    brand loyalty means nothing to me, thus my functional North Face bag. There isn't a tennis bag on the planet constructed as well..... and The North Face is not on the high end of the outdoor gear spectrum, at all.

    Siobhan, I hope you understand where I'm coming from as a customer. In marketing, a confused customer is a customer that won't buy anything. And that is exactly what those pictures, along with a LOT of your bags:

    - The brown Head Murray Monstercombi bag
    - The 25th anniversary Head Prestige Monstercombi bag

    The repeated close up shots of the zippers/logo/handle tell me nothing about the bag as a whole. Cool, it's got a handle, but where is it on the bag? (Also, your "overview" picture of some of these bags are far enough to not show any details).

    Or in the case of this Nike bag. Alright cool, it's got a nice neon-green Nike Swoosh, but it doesn't tell me nothing.

    Go for a happy medium.

    What?

    Maybe I wanted to purchase a Nike bag for someone. But holding up to six racquets is just too small for anyone that is serious about tennis. In fact, it's preferrable to carry at least 3 racquets with 2 of them of the same specs.

    Also, there actually is a market for bags that are wider than 6. Usually, they are for the more serious players which should be a large audience (in my opinion).

    Actually, no there isn't. Because the Boris Becker line is discontinued, none of the online retailers have any of the tennis bags in stock which only opens the oppurtunity for me to purchase from other people. However, Boris Becker isn't really popular in the United States compared to Europe. The younger generation doesn't even know who Boris Becker is!

    If I offended Siobhan in any way, I apologise.
    Actually, these are questions that should be asked.
    And no, I don't purchase brands that don't match with my racquet. But if I wanted one just in case, a 6 pack is just too small. Besides, it's not available in the US anyway like Tiffani said.
    I don't purchase items that is worn from the professionals. Federer, Nadal, and even Becker. I usually don't care about that.
    I care about the value of the product. This (in my opinion) isn't worth my money or anyone else's that is more serious into tennis.

    It's not about brand loyalty exactly, it's about the total value of the product.
    Becker had racquets in the 80's and 90's. They were called Puma and Estua.
    The North Face bag looks like it holds less than 6 racquets to me.
    Plus, isn't that brand overpriced?
    I remember seeing a sweater that's around $100+. I guess that they provide 'quality outdoor clothing'.

    Hi All,

    I will try to respond to everything you asked! I went down to the (Edit: European) warehouse and filled the bag up with rackets to see how many it would actually fit: Just to clarify, the "racquet compartment" has space to fit up to 3 racquets without covers, but I was able to fit 4 in that compartment and a total of 8 in the whole bag (granted you won't fit much else in there obviously, but hopefully that helps you understand the size of the bag). It is "advertised" for carrying 3 racquets but you can fit more. It's definitely Nike quality and they have done a good job with all the features.

    @Overdrive,
    You didn't offend me, so apologies weren't needed :). Right now, no, there is only this size. You're right, if you're more into the traditional style tennis bag this won't suit your interests. But, if you're looking for something a bit different, this is a cool alternative. I don't think they are trying to create a mainstream tennis bag, just a Nike sporty/tennis design that fits some of your racquets and your gear in a unique and styled package. (PS. Boris Becker is awesome)

    @maxpotapov,
    Yup, this is styled as a tennis bag, in disguise as a duffle, that fits racquets in it. I don't know why they created it, they like to dabble in different markets and I actually think the design is pretty unique and cool. Not necessarily as competition for a traditional bag, as I said above, but different in it's own way.

    @MAXXply
    Thank you for defending me :) Very sweet of you. I'll always try my best to respond to everything you guys ask since you're buying online! You summed it up nicely, "This is a tennis duffle - deal with it." As it is grey I wouldn't assume it would stay as clean-looking as a black bag, but the material of the outside is slightly protected so it wouldn't stain or mark as easily as you might assume with the color. That said, whenever you buy a white or a light colored tennis bag (or any other product for that matter) you know you're going to have to be more careful with it.

    @Say Chi Sin Lo
    Totally understand your comments about the images. I've only been at TWE shortly, and love any feedback from you guys to make our services better. I talked to our imaging department about the "close-ups" and I told them to focus more on the compartments, sizing and features of the bag, rather than the close up shots on zippers etc. I had a look through and agree that these aren't helpful with purchasing, so the team over here is going to try and improve the shots for your benefit. Hope that helps!

    @Torres
    The lining on the racquet compartment is soft and slightly padded. I wouldn't say excessively at all, but there is a little bit of thickness to it. I think it's more to keep the rackets safer from scratches and bumps, rather than protecting them if someone say, stepped on the bag. Personally I really like it, Nike did a great job and while it's sporty and will suit everything you need for tennis, it's more styled and less "in your face" than some other brands.

    3 racquets as advertised - this is fantastic news!!!

    For those who need to carry up to 8 racquets, you can buy one for the racquets and one as a duffel bag :)

    Good job, TW... Europe :)

    Oh okay, I didn't mean to cause any misunderstandings.
    Yeah, this bag is only for someone who wants something different or a more 'styled bag'.
    I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Becker is awesome! :)
    I hope TW allows the users on the board to play test the newer racquets that will be released this summer! :D

    I'm thinking about buying this bag as it seems to fit my needs. Is there anyone that has bought this bag and can comment on overall quality..zipper quality. The bag is on sale and was very expensive at one time. Just wondering if its worth it.

    Hi Siobhan. I do have a few questions. I am very interested in ordering the bag and was wondering how the quality of the material is and if the zippers are also of good quality. I have been looking at some other big tennis brands and wasn't impressed. I'm anxious to get an opinion on this Nike bag as it fits my needs perfectly.

    I just got this bag yesterday. It's fantastic. The functionality is superb. It's perfect for me as a bag to use when I play after work. The compartments aren't exactly 50/50 (like a 6 racquet bag). The side for 3 racquets is slightly smaller than the other side (it seems). Which is perfect for carrything clothes I need to play in, plus the getting my work clothes in to the bag to carry home. Like a gym bag designed to carry tennis racquets as well. And, of course, it looks great.

    A bit expensive, but it is fantastic.

    Thanks for that info..I should have my bag tomorrow and am now totally stoked about it. I also needed a bag to carry 2 racquets and gym stuff as well. The price on sale is in line with other bags here in Bangkok. I looked at all the wilson tour bags and just wasnt impressed. I think the Nike will be the real deal for me

    Nice to see the racquet section has sub dividers to stop the racquets getting chipped whilst in the bag

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3hpAeAeIbE

    Does this bag have any internal zipped pockets for keys/phone/credit cards etc?

    The bag shown in the video review has a product tag. The tag shows the bag also comes in black. A plain black Nike bag would have more appeal than the lighter coloured one yet it seems the black one is not available anywhere?? Has anyone found a retailer that sells the black version??

    Nike made a bag just like this in the early 2000ish time frame. I bought one at the time. Its a pretty handy bag. If you cut the dividers out you can get five racquets (thin beams) in it pretty easily. I just got rid of mine last year because the zipper broke on the main compartment. I used it off and on over the years but it held up pretty well. They came in black, navy, or red.

    I think I remember Pioline using one along with a racquet bag.

    I would probably buy another one if they came to the US. Currently I only use bags that are waterproof but its always nice to have a few options. The original one I had was handy for a lot of things. I used the divders to separate clothes, towels etc. when I used it for a non tennis activity. Its even served as a decent shooting range bag for a time.

    Besides the outside zippered pocket, there is a large internal one that basically goes down the length of the bag on the inside compartment (not the racquet side). There is a mesh pocket as well, about the same length, divided in to 3 sections (if that makes sense).

    Is that large internal one zipped? I'm conscious that if it isn't, once you turn the bag upside down, use it as a backpack etc, all your coins, phones, keys, are going to flying all over the place.

    Yes, sorry, for some reason I thought I wrote that.. Large zipped internal pocket. When I say large, it's longer than the external zipped pocket which you can see in the pics.
