Undoubtfully, Federer is the hot favourite. But Nikolay was doing well in French open in the last few matches and he is speedy too, while Federer looked a bit struggling in last few matches especially against Youzhny and Robredo. Do you think Nikolay may stand a chance to beat Federer in the Semi final?

Personally i am looking forward for a Federer Vs Nadal final showdown :)

Federer in 3. No doubt about it. i kept thinking the same thing.. "maybe Davydenko will do something?"

It's just wishful thinking, we all know Fed is gonna come through.

Davydenko is a good matchup for Federer because he is an agressive baseliner who gives Federer the rhytm he needs to play and nobody plays faster than Federer from the baseline. Davydenko would need some variety in his game to surprise Federer, mix shots, a plan B. If he only plays hitting hard from the baseline he will need to play superb tennis and be fit enough to keep that level after the first 2 sets.
It would be also important for Federer to don´t play a tough SF match to be phisically and mentally at his best in the final (same for Davydenko).

IMO. Fed has found his game on clay.
He will get the french crown this time.

Scrawnydenko is mentally tough and has amazing footwork but has no channce against a focused Federer.

Davydenko vs. Djokovic should be a spectacular final (provided that Novak pulls through against Nadal). Both are exceptionally solid on clay.

    I like davydenko's game...against everyone but fed.
I believe he's gotten 1 set in the his previous 5 matches against Fed.

I like Federer and I highly respect Nadal and his game, but, I really admire Davy's hardwork, day-in-day-out. Even though I don't think that it is likely, I hope Davydenko wins the FO. Hardwork needs to pay off and needs to pay off NOW!!!

Oh yeah, I think Davy will give Federer some trouble, just like Canas in Miami and Indian wells. They will make Federer hit a lot of tennis ballls. Federer in 4 or 5, but most likely 4.

    Yes. About 50% of them.
That gives a Davy a 50/50 chance to beat Fed? :D

Didn't Ben Wallace have a lower percentage? Something like 46%, I remember he had the worst % in the league. There was a playoff game where he shot a free throw and it just barely nicked the rim and looked like an airball, it was hilarious.

Don't think we should underestimate Davydenko - he has a steel like determination and he has been looking pretty fresh after each match which - whereas before in long matches he has looked tired. It will be a really good SF hopefully

No. Davy does not need a miracle. In route to the FO semis he beat some Fed. nemesis: Nalbandian and Cañas. Remember how Nalbandian was giving Fed a lesson in the last year FO semis (at least until he was injured)?

Also, Davy gave Fed problems in the 2006 AO Q. Davy had the key to the 5th set but did not convert. Do not forget that the FO surface is slower than the rebound ace of the AO and it surely favors Davy.

If Fed beat Davy is going to be in 4 or 5 close sets. I bet is going to be a very difficult game for Fed. Not an easy game for Fed like some people say.

I would say Davydenko has increased his chances against Federer slowly over
    last a few years.

And Federer is arguably in worse form than last year.

So I guess Davydenko has highest chances now.

But then Federer just has too much game for every body
and Davydenko not particluarly playing his best game on clay...
