hey guys..i just received this email TW:

    Rod,

Thank you for contacting Tennis Warehouse. With the release of the Head Flexpoint Prestige racquets you would expect the price of the Liquidmetal Prestige to drop, but it is not. I have been informed that Head will not lower the price of the racquets. I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. But remember, Tennis Warehouse will not be undersold. If you find the Liquidmetal Prestige at a lower cost we will match that price, upon verification. I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if I may help you with anything else.

    Sincerely,

    Michael Figueroa

Will Tennis Warehouse really match other competitors prices? I've seen the Yonex RDX 500 HD for 139.99 on another website, which is 30 dollars less than the listed price on tennis warehouse.

TW has a great price matching program. I have used it several times without any aggravation. Good, fair deals and the usual excellent stringing/shipping customer service.

What if the new Prestige isn't as good as the old LMP? Wouldn't be the first time that's happened. The LMP is a darn hard act to trump. If I were a betting man I'd give Head a 10% chance of improving over that racquet. I just bought two of the old ones for my "collection". :)

Please read post #1. Head said they are not lowering the price so that's that as it came direct from the main source.

Likely Head is not dropping the price because there's still plenty of demand for it. Why sell it for $100 when plenty of people are willing to pay $200 for it?

Short Vantage. Go long on the LM Prestige Mid on price weakness.

Their matching program only applies to other authorized Head dealers, not e_b_a_y.

Actually, there are more than a few who find the LM Prestige Mid to be a terrible racquet. Speaking for myself, it is one of the worst racquets I've ever hit with - and I've hit with hundreds over the years.

Plus you have to pay shipping and maybe sales tax on top of that...

Call (323) 663-6601, they might have several left for around $110/each.
