Very different to all of the other threads made on Murray in the last 12 hours, well done.

Thanks for bumping the thread Breaker, well done.

In other news, some people are still wondering if Fed is GOAT or not. Don't you realize what it really takes to win a Slam? What about winning 3 in one year? How about doing that 2 years in a row?

Actually maybe you guys are noticing such but youre kind of implying the field today is a little weak. :)

I mean the #2 player in the world ? 1 slam final in the past years? A bunch of laying eggs in slams this year with no slam finals appearances in 09 and a few early round slam exits?

I thought this was supposed to be the strongest era ever?

That's because the ranking number is not a reliable indicator of the quality of the player. Safina being #1 is the finest example. No weak field, actually a REALLY STRONG one in which any player having a hot day can take out ""tennis stars"" (like Nadal at FO and Murray at USO)

Considering it's the first thread on the page, there's nowhere for it to be bumped to

When you posted it wasn't the first thread on the page ;) Plus, bumping doesn't only apply to the threads list, but also the `Today's topics` and `New messages` lists.

    WELL DONE

Or the field is just too deep, and Federer and Nadal are aliens, so they are unbeatable for any field.

Sure he's a non slam wonder so far, but how hold is the guy?? How do you know he won't win a slam in the future? I think it's likely he'll eventually get a slam or two if not more.
