Do these exist? If so, where would I find them?

    Thanks! :)

Yes they exist. Go to http://tennislink.usta.com/tournaments/Schedule/Search.aspx
and search for tournament in your area. The search will return all USTA and nonUSTA sanctioned tournements.
Also do some local research many local tennis centers have tournaments that are not posted on tennis link. My city has a tennis website where I can go look at all tennis events happening in/around my city.

keep an eye on your local newspaper and if there are any generally the tennis centers will run an ad. Or go by your local tennis center and ask if they put on any tournaments.

Thanks! I was planning on doing a USTA 2.5 tournament but when I checked past competition results for the same place, none of the matches were played. So, assuming, not enough entries. :-(

Unfortunatley 2.5 rarley makes anywhere you go. Just play the 3.0 level not much difference.

The main advantage of Non USTA tourneys are that they usually charge half as much unless they are a charity event. :)

Typically they are held at private clubs (which may not let nonmembers play) or public tennis centers often centered around holidays.

Check with the local clubs, local parks/recreation. They will have a schedule of the tournaments they host and what events are available.

What is your area? Usually you receive more help when you give more information.
