Is it just me or do you just love red shoes. I am wondering why there are not enough red shoes being made. In tennis there are not many. The Adidas Roland Garros are red but they are primarily for clay. You can use them on hard but they don't have a durability guarantee for that. Adidas has a Stan Smith I believe in red but other than that maybe there are a couple of reds but that's it. In running or cross trainers not enough red shoes.

Do you guys love red shoes just as I do? Just not enough red shoes in the world ...

If you like red you should check out the Yonex 307 shoes.

I can take a bit of red trim on a predominantly white or black shoe, but a shoe that's mostly red doesn't work for me.

Some of them are pretty cool. From afar, I've always really liked this line of red shoes from Diadora. Borg's red shoes were my favorite in pictures from about 1979 or so. He may have been one of the first back then to start wearing shoes with significant red in them. This Austin Reed ad is so classic and well done.

Thanks for the info. I checked out some pics on the net and they are very nice and red. Not all red but the majority of it and that counts. I'll definitely consider that one. I appreciate your suggestion.

Funny about silver shoes. Yes not a lot of those to go around in the world either. I have some actually that I misplaced. They were nike and they were silver and the material looked like that material that all those "space" jackets that people wore in the early '80s and or late '70s wore. They were running shoes. I bought two pair of shoes at the same time. An Adidas in white with blue stripes and the Nike. If I did not misplace the Nike I'd wear them.

I just did a whole thread on Diadora. Interesting you bring up Diadora. Contribute to my Diadora thread if you get a chance. Thanks.

Babo, man I agree with you on the green shoe thing. Green is not a color that enough companies make shoes in too.

You're welcome and thanks for both threads. I will. Diadoras were perhaps the very best shoes around when Borg wore them. Borg wore the best clothes, wore the best shoes around, and his Donnay wood frames were so beautiful and well made. He didn't exactly "mess around" when it came to gear. He went all out.

Check out the updated versions that followed those Borg shoes from 1979:

I couldn't get the picture to download, but their Speed Pro III AG shoes look great and are very high performance/light.

borg number one, those are some sweet shoes you posted of those Diadora Borgs. I have seen some info on the net that Diadora re-released a Borg shoe recently but I can not find them on the net anywhere for sale. I don't know why Diadora isn't really selling a lot of shoes for tennis anymore. They are trying to be a 100 percent soccer shoe company I suppose and that's too bad. You are right, Borg was a great dresser with the right racquet and shoes and everything.

Man those red Diadoras are sweet! I can't find those anywhere. I think Diadora is slacking in getting their tennis shoes out to the world. I think they are mainly soccer and to a lesser extent a baseball shoe now. But those are sweet. If e-mail me what you find I'll be appreciative! Thanks much buddy.

I finally got some red shoes!!! They are not very red though. See, I needed a new pair of tennis shoes. Mine on the outside were just fine but the inner support was feeling compressed and not as supportive as it used to. I play once a week so my shoes last about one and a half years or so and it's been that long. A local store got together with Wilson for a charity where you turn in a used pair of tennis shoes in decent condition and you get half off the Wilson Tour Vision. They had basically the red, white, blue version. These are not all one color, they are white with black then the trim is of the colors I mentioned. I thought since I'm on a red kick I'll go for the red. I'm sure it's not only the local store that does this charity. I'm sure Wilson goes around the country to different tennis shops and does this. Because I was in need of some shoes and they had this deal I could not pass it up. I have not played with these yet as I have just gotten these. I will this coming week but today I'm under the weather and tomorrow the same probably. I take it Wilson is the sponsor of this charity since Wilson is the shoe that's being sold at half off but it could be a charity of a different name is doing this with the cooperation of Wilson and the local store, I'm not sure. This is one day only also.

Check out TW site on this shoe -
