I got ripped by Matt Benton.Sent me two Wilson Tour 90's,supposed to be 4 1/2 in excellent shape. Both were built up with shrink sleeves(which he neglected to mention)and had old cast off leather grips(that covered about half the handle). The rest was finished off with gobs of cheap black tape.
I had to spend $30.00 for two new leather replacement grips.
Also there was a fair amount of court rash on one of the frames through the finish down to the graphite.
Not quite the "excellent condition" he promised.Beware of Matt Benton.

I have had almost 2 dozen people email me since I sold those rackets asking about them. If resale value is your concern, you could make your money back in a heartbeat at the price I gave you.

Neither racket had a shrink sleeve on it. I have never used a shrink sleeve in my life. I advertised them as 4 1/2, and that is exactly what they are. That's simply a lie.

If you knew anything about Tour 90's, you would know that they have probably the thinnest paint jobs in the world. All you have to do is lean it up to a post and the paint will wear off below the bumper. A Tour 90 can have multiple spots like these and hardly be used at all.

I forgot about the grips, as I haven't used them in a while, and offered to reimburse you for the money you spent on new ones, but since you decided to post negative feedback before even giving me a chance to rectify the situation, I'm not giving you a dime.

I've given dozens of people on this board great deals on rackets. All you had to do was wait one day for me to have a chance to fix this by any means necessary, including my buying the rackets back and reimbursing you for shipping (which I have, regrettably, done before), but no. You had to be "savior" to all of the innocents that might be hurt by me in the future.

You'll be glad to know I'm saving you the trouble. No one around here has to worry about hearing from me again.

I don't own a digital camera. In fact, I've never used one.

And I bought the Tour 90's a month ago.

    Anyone else? Bring it.

I bought some racquets from Matt a year ago (2 Prestige Classics) and was very happy with the deal. Racquets were in great shape and I still use them.

Things like this - where someone's view of "used" is different than the others - can usually be worked out, if given a chance. No one here likes to get a bad post so usually they will fix it, within reason. Doesn't look like Matt was given this chance.

I'd deal with Matt again anytime.

If I posted too soon I apologize.I was pretty upset by getting what I didn't expect for my good money.
I offered to retract my bad reference if I was reimbursed for the new leather grips I had to purchase but I guess someone had their feelings hurt.
I'm a bit mystified by some of the good references for this guy since I was sucker punched by this deal.
There is a local tennis shop where this guy I've known for over twenty-five years removed the shrink sleeves for me so I don't know why this guy is lying about that.I'll supply name and phone number if anyone wishes to ask him about who's telling the truth.
All in all because of his lies and cheapness I'll stand by my statement. If this guy was square with you fine.He certainly wasn't with me.This is the kind of guy who'll hook on line calls and he'll charge you for something he can't provide and then keep your money. It's too bad.

You are making allegations about my character based upon this one transaction? You are criticizing my integrity without even knowing me?

I'm may be sorrier for making this deal than you are.

The deal's done and we'll both live with it and I'll say no more except that you called me a liar first and that's a fact!
I don't know you at all.All I know is what I got for what was advertised and I did get hooked and that's a fact!
I'll still give out my witness' number if anyone cares to check and we'll see who's dirtying who's character. You should be sorry you made this deal and deceived me.Enough said.[/i][/b]
