So we have our first college tennis gay tennis player. And he comes from Notre Dame. Kind of ironic I think. It's the age of embracing the gay as a brave hero to be politically correct so the timing was right I guess.

I saw that on Michael Center's Facebook a couple weeks ago. It is kinda funny that it's from Notre Dame. But homophobia is dying everywhere anyway. If it was a stock you would sell sell sell

Just a quick note. He isn't the first male player to come out, but he is the first from a major D1 program. There have been others before him from less prominent schools. Still it's great that he has the support of his team the community around him in general. Also, a senior swimmer on the men's team at UVA came out a couple of weeks ago. His coming out story was a good read. Very funny and light-hearted presentation in the face of something that can be very difficult.

He was in the doubles lineup at the start of the season. Hasn't played recently though, yea.

Yes. Does not mean they are intolerant. I'm sure someone will explode now.

lol yeah right. He's not even the first openly gay male collegiate tennis player, only the first one the media has been informed of.
