Any chance for Kei to pull another upset in his first slam SF, or Novak is going to continue with convincing play and make it to the 5th consecutive final.

The Backhand to Backhand rallies will be sweet.

That being said, Djoko in 4 hope Kei plays well though :)

Damn, time flies. Novak is gunning for his FIFTH consecutive US Open final. I remember back in 2010 when he started his run. I had just gotten my butt kicked by a kid who was two years younger than me and heading to Stanford now and I was eating at a Chinese restaurant near my hometown. Djokovic was playing Federer in the 4th set of the 2010 SF. I had a feeling deep down Djokovic was going to win. When I returned home, I had found out that Djokovic had saved two match points and beaten Federer, and the rest, is history.

Always knew Nishikori was a great player when he pushed Nadal in 3 tight sets at AO 2014. (Nadal won 7-6 7-5 7-6.)

That was a humongous choke by Nishikori who was better player and outplayed Nadal by huge margin in all three sets but choked badly at the end of each.

The US Open went up another level after those two quarter final battles. So happy for Kei, I am big fan of his, and his last two matches have made me an even bigger fan. I didn't think he was going to make it this far, when it went into the fifth with Stan, but he showed me something special.

We will see many great things from Kei in the future. But as of right now, the world belongs to Novak Djokovic. Those first two and half sets with Murray were just breathtakingly brutal, and Djokovic looked like he could have done that for a few more hours. To me, Djokovic now looks like the outstanding favorite for the title.

Kei will show heart, and fight, but I think Djokovic will be one step too far for him, especially with the way Novak is zeroed himself in into winning this title. Novak winning, and into the title fight match.

I'd love to see an upset. But from what I've seen Djokovic is too good at the USO this year. Hopefully 2 days will be enough for Kei to recover and give his best.

if Kei brings that same forehand that he had against Nadal at Madrid final, Kei can win this one.

I'm rooting for Novak, now that all my underdogs of choice have been knocked out. Kei's okay though, so whoever it is, I hope they go on to win.

I, like many others, find these two players quite similar. Both are extremely balanced from both wings, excellent at taking the ball early and redirecting it with adroitness, and very agile movers. The match should be entertaining, and I anticipate there will be good shotmaking and a high tempo.

On one hand I would like for Nishikori to reach the final. He is profusely talented, and some new blood would be great for the sport.

On the other hand, another Novak-Federer final would certainly have the most gravitas, and it has been in the cards since the start of the tournament.

Hope it turns out a nail-biter, but I have a feeling Novak will get it done in three or four. Superior experience and more solid on serve.

Uniqlo will be having a great day either way! And where exactly could I buy their tennis clothes? Still have no clue where to buy any of it in the US. Why is it not sold on Tennis Warehouse?

Gutted I won't be able to watch this one as I'm going to Thorpe Park this weekend but I hope it will be a high quality match and that Djokovic eliminates those puff pastry forehands he was hitting so frequently in his QF. Ajde!

Since Roland Garros 2014, Djokovic has been pitted up against a young gun in the semifinals of each major (Gulbis, Dimitrov, now Nishikori). The result the last two times have been four set wins. I think realistically now that Djokovic might drop a set but prevail in four. History repeats itself. #teamNo1e

I just want to say: so happy for both Kei and Novak. What a shame they're on the same side. I think this is a phenomenal achievement for Kei but of course I have to root for Novak. So many finals at the USO, he has to win a 2nd title. Come on Novak, almost there!

I honestly expect Novak to sleepwalk to the title unless Federer/Cilic make the final and play out of their mind.

I see Novak as a slight favorite, but the H2H is 1-1 with Nishikori winning their only HC match. He was also the only player to bagel Novak in 2011 so I think Nishikori has got a good chance of pulling this off.

Great opportunity for Kei. On paper Novak is the heavy favorite but Kei has beaten him before. He can do it again. Novak is a better match up for him than Murray.

Djokovic in 4, but this is Nishikori's biggest chance yet to make a statement. If his body holds up, I think it's actually realistic.
