    Novak in 3.

Gasquet beat Kei 1 and 2 recently.

Beating Stan and Raonic is clearly much different from having to do it against Novak.

Novak needs to win, for tennis to be somewhat credible. Kei has recently had fitness issues, lost to Gasquet supposedly 1&2 and has been injured the past coipke of weeks and yet somehow has improved his fitness... sorry not a storry I buy.

I cannot see Kei take more than 1 set at the most.
But I wouldn't mind being totally wrong and seeing him take more.

    Djok in three or four.

The motivation for Novak to stay on top of the mens game is too much even for Federer to break at the moment, forget a journeyman like Nishikori. I am sure Novak can bring on another level altogether when it comes to a crunch.

LOL, are they really going to make Djokovic wilt in the sun?

They really want Fed to win this, don't they?

    Relax folks, ...
I can't tell if serious or not. It's men's semi-finals day and there might be 7+ hours of play depending on how the matches go. They should be starting at that sort of time to make sure semis can be finished at a reasonable time and both winners can actually get to bed at a reasonable time after all their obligations, massages, etc. to make the best use of their Sunday rest day. Why would they schedule Federer's semifinal first when the top half has been scheduled first for the entire event.

complete BS IMO... I am a Djoker fan and have complete respect for Fed, but for him to play on Ashe all matches in evening or late afternoon is just not fair

Confused about prediction..I think Uniqlo wins in 5 after Uniqlo saves a MP with BH DTL. Uniqlo comes with an aggressive mindset.

Djokovic has no solutions for Nadal at RG. None! :) Doesn't matter how many times he beats Nadal in best of 3 clay Masters tournaments. He can't hang with Nadal in best of 5 RG.

Kei can win this if Novak plays bad. and he will play bad because he is very tired from all the wedding stuff he had in the summer

We'll see. I hope you're right, but until I see Nishikori actually finish after playing a couple of long matches in succession, consider me a skeptic.

Of course, I think Djoker wins in any case. The question for me is whether he actually has to work a little for it.

Physical concerns aside, there aren't really any reasons to think Nishikori will actually win. Djokovic is the better player, he has a huge experience advantage, etc.

Huh? He had Nadal beaten in 2013 RG if not for his excessive excitement to hit the winner over the net. Once that happened, he got shook and had either 2 or 3 (can't recall) easy overheads he completely botched. Face it, Nadal isn't unbeatable on clay, he's just the far-and-away best at it. Heck, Djokovic has been saying since 2006 (or 2007) that he knows how to beat him. The time will come where Djokovic will win a RG, I firmly believe that. It may not come against Nadal (if his body doesn't hold up), but it will come.

You are stupid. It is a benefit to whoever plays the 1st semi. Always has been. Meanwhile if Djokovic has more trouble with the sun than a skinny little Japanese shortie with heavy legs after 10 sets of tennis his last couple matches, then that is pretty sad for a world #1 who prides himself on great fitness and physicality of his game.

Djokovic is the huge favorite. If kei wants to win, he has to take it to the deciding set or push Novak hard and prolong the match as long as possible. He can not let Novak dictate him in the first or second sets too much. To sum it up, he needs to muster strengh again and be "the marathon man" again. He needs that determination to pull off a huge upset.

Djoker and nishikori having 3 days of rest ..whereas federer and Cilic are having just 2 days of rest.. With federer playing a gruelling 5 setter in the night session

So who should be given more time to relax ?? It's federer - Cilic .. No problem in it being the 2nd match of the day !!

Is this being shown live in the US? I normally watched this US Open on ESPN3 online. Seems like that is not available today.
