Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal might have held the number one position longer but I respect Novak Djokovic more for a number of reasons. First, Novak is not from a western nation he's from Serbia yet he brokethrough and showed the world someone from Eastern Europe can be a great champion. Yes, Ivan Lendl was also a great champion too but he's about as exciting as dry toast.

When Novak ripped off his shirt after beating Stanislas Wawrinka and I saw his incredible chest and his six abs I screamed:)

Novak has sex appeal and he's isn't afraid of showing off his hot body either.

Novak has charisma and that's something Roger and Rafael don't have they are extremely boring and they follow the script.

Novak wears his heart on his sleeve he doesn't hide how he's feeling he's very outspoken and he speaks his mind. Novak also challenges Federer and Nadal in the press and I like this about him he's not afraid to give his point of view.

He's also a lot of fun he understands being a tennis player means you are an entertainer not some robot like Roger Federer.

Replace Novak with Safin and I agree. Only difference is Safin didn't rip his shirt off like a clown.

Anyone who thinks Lance is hot needs an eye exam along with a mental evaluation as well. He looks like a stick insect.

Love Nole but he doesn't hold a candle to Safin. That man is absolutely gorgeous. I think Novak's very attractive as well, but Marat is on a different level.

I agree that Djokovic is the most charismatic top player of recent years.

There is something genuine about him, positive or negative, which I could not find in Federer or Roddick. Rafa is a genuine guy, but too introverted.

I think Tsonga is extremely charismatic as well. Dimitrov with a bit more exposure will start growing on people too, also posses charisma.

I think about 80% of the top 20 are pretty darn hot, but I'm a 35 year-old woman so it doesn't take a lot for me these days :)

I think Nole has the cute, funny charismatic thing working for him for sure, but I agree with the poster above that Safin is the hottest tennis player, ever. If only he'd ripped his shirt off a few times....

I also approve of Andy's tight shirt and hope it catches on. It's time for us ladies to have a little eye candy.

Andy Murray is the ugliest guy in the ATP top 100 by five million miles. Murray doesn't hold a candle to Novak Djokovic, Fabio Fognini,, Jeremy Chardy, Fernando Verdasco, Tommy Robredo he's a million miles below these men in terms of looks.

    Yep. Just like that. :)

Andy's endearing. The kind of person who grows on you. There is also Radek Stepanek who is most certainly not better looking than Andy.

    Hottest ever? Oh, please...

Video of Borg getting mobbed at Wimbledon in 1974
"The end of an ordeal off-court, as well as on. Beseiged and belaboured by St Trinians, kept in hiding for safety. Smuggled through backdoors by officials and police."

THAT is a tennis rockstar. 8)

Another example of Borg's rockstar status at the very start of this vid. Yes, that mob of young girls is on Wimbledon's Centre Court, and BB is in the middle of it:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQQfSChtzUU
(from his QF defeat to Roger Taylor in 1973)

No tennis player before or since has been so idolised by the ladies.

I'm sorry, Novak might be hot for a Serb, but that's about as far as that goes.

For those that don't know, Serbs are like the Brits of eastern Europe.

Andy Murray is gross. He always looks like a mess and so disheveled when he plays. When he gels his hair he looks slightly better but he's by no means hot.

As far as current players go, Tommy Haas is gorgeous.

I'm with you on Rafa, Roger, and JDMP (and Pico Monaco, though I don't pay that much attention to him). Milos is actually very cute.

And you need to see Sasha Dolgopolov in person. He looks like a Medici prince.

I've wondered if Dologopolov might look better in person. Milos has a very baby face to me right now. I could see him becoming much better looking as he ages.

You spelled Raonic's name wrong and Milos is attractive. You obviously haven't seen Milos outside of his tennis gear and in more stylish clothing. You think Dolgopolov is borderline, I am not even sure if he's male. Cliic has huge ears, Simon is a bean pole, Ferrer is better looking than Andy Murray by a million miles. Murray has bad rotten teeth typical of the British.

So I'm comparing someone who dopes to... someone who... doesn't dope...?

Calling Djokovic: 'Lance' is about as logical as calling Nadal: 'Anders Breivik'. You've compared Djokovic, a non-doper, to someone who dopes, so I'll just go ahead and compare your idol Nadal, a non-serial killer, to someone who murdered 69 people and felt good about doing it.

In fact, I reckon everyone should refer to Nadal as 'Anders', no? Makes about as much sense as calling Djokovic 'Lance'.

Novak: long face, long nose, long chin, eyes too close to each other and an abnormally deformed back skull. He is symmetrically ugly from all angles. If you need an example of how radiation after a nuclear blast can deform a human being physically, he is it.

Charisma? lol. During the olympics 50 journalists turned up during his press conference. The no-charisma Federer was swarmed by a thousand journalists. Charisma is when people pay attention to you without you having to act like a clown. you can be quiet as a mime, yet you command attention. Something Djokovic doesn't have.

Tennis: I have to hand it to him, he is the greatest player to play at the AO in the last 20 years IMO. As tennis fan, that's the most important thing here.

No, you don't, because it would also prove the point how uneducated you are...
    Raonic is not a Serb.
Better stop now while people believe you are just extremely narrow minded and not that smart...
