Mens Singles Finals:
Michael Venus, LSU def. Oleksandr Nedovyesov (1), Oklahoma State (7-6, 2-6, 6-4)
Main Draw Doubles Final
Jonas Berg-Bram ten Berge, Mississippi def. Arnau Brugues-Philip Stephens, Tulsa (6-4, 6-4)
Good result from Venus. Wasn't he the number one player in the country his last year in juniors? Haven't heard that much from him in college. I know he's floated around the top 50 in the country, but I can't think of any result that stands out.
Also, I think he was born in New Zealand, so as he's graduating this year, should he play professionally as I assume he will for at least a little while, what country will he represent? I.E. Could he play Davis Cup for New Zealand?
Was he mentored by Chris Lewis ??? the GIANT Killer...
Venus is the guy who played for UT, right? He should just go on the circuit.
