Now that I am older, I realize that movie from my youth is actually pretty awful.

Wow, "Superman 2" is on right now. It has not aged well. Really, really quite awful. Lois Lane was able to easily bypass French security and then get herself into a life or death situation with a hydrogen bomb and terrorists at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Luckily, Superman showed up, saved her once again and threw the h-bomb into space. Oops, he inadvertently freed some criminals from a space prison in the process. One of the villan is having a conversion with an astronaut on the moon, yes, where there is no sound. According to the opening credits, it was even written by Mario Puzo and he wrote the "Godfather".

    Tastes change with age.
As a teenager, I always dreamed about movie stars and other older women.
As a middle aged fart, I liked women my age.
As an old fart, I dream women 45+ years my junior.

Hawk the Slayer. Saw it as a kid when I was into D&D and thought it was brilliant. Watched it recently and thought it was awful.

Evil Dead. Watched it as a teenager, was scared ****less. Now it's plain funny.

Wizard of Oz. Loved watching it when it was shown every Christmas in England when I was growing up. Now I'm grown up the film has lost it's magic for me or maybe adult responsibilities are blocking my enjoyment of it. Note to self: Watch it again at Christmas.

A few years down the lane, I hope someone makes a similar post about the Twilight movies.

I think Grease actually holds up pretty well for me. I certainly would put it above high school musical.
