I'm currently a recreational player and I want to join a team but I cant find any around my area. Anyone know of any team or league(peferablly for free) around the nyc area that accepts beginners under 18?

USTA program finder? USTA has everything, try it. They do have a list of programs in your area, somewhere

I don't know. I'm pretty new myself and I think they'd still have one.

a ton of money...i only go over the summer to the USTA center. Its like over $400 a week, but from like 9am to 3pm in the afternoon, monday to friday. Its a good program beacue the staff there are usualy really good players and they really help you out on everything.

Clubs here (normal clubs) cost around $100~$500 a year and about $25 a month. No club is free, unless some guy can afford to take in 100 players with 15 courts :O
