I know you can buy a hard grommet for the white/tour but I have noticed that you can take the soft grommet apart and seperate the soft part and a smaller hard piece. It's not quite as big as the replacement hard grommet and it would appear that you could get more feedback using just that half of the original gormmet instead of the replacement piece. If it works I would assume that you could do it for any of the O3 line, what do you folks think?

i actually noticed that too before stringing my friend's 03 tour MP. however, there's a few issues regarding that.

first, the new surface that the string will make contact with the frame will not be as smooth and polished as the surface of the real 03 holes (the part w/o grommets) so it could damage the string, not to mention the corners would be sharper. secondly, without the grommet, the string would be spaced differently at 6 o'clock compared to 12 o'clock, resulting in an awkward shaped stringbed in the middle few mains. although this may not be noticeable, i would think it would affect how the racket played ever so slightly.
