Nadal will win THE RAFA SLAM before his career is over, that is for sure.

He'll do well in his comeback because he wasn't really as injured as most people believe.

This, basically (and it was quite diplomatic of you not to add "if at all" at the end of your sentence ;)). Remember how Serena was "impaired" by the foot injury that prevented her from playing for a whole year? An injury that was so horrific that none of the witnesses (nor Serena herself) could remember exactly how it happened or where it took place.

On another note, I think we need more astrology on these boards--and something tells me this thread is going to prove it big time... ;)

Again with the Rafa Slam. This time though, you've changed the time...have you suddenly changed your level of confidence of this actually ever happening again?

He has been practising hard to do towelling, underwear fixing, hair fixing, nose wiping, baseline cleaning, staring at the players box, ball bouncing, all in 25 seconds. He will be so fast it will be stunning to watch.

I have never said WHEN Nadal will win THE RAFA SLAM. I have only said that AO 2014 would be a great opportunity to win THE RAFA SLAM because he will be physically fresh at the slams in 2013 thanks to his holiday. But that doesn't mean its his only chance to win it. Also, if the 4th leg of THE RAFA SLAM is at an AO then it would mean Nadal will likely win 5 straight slams (because Roland Garros is next), and no man has ever won 5 slams in a row.

    Other Octozone predictions...

Rafael Nadal will rule for 4 more years; won’t overtake Roger Federer (September 18, 2010)
Uh-huh. Didn't see Djokovic, Rosol, or bad knees in the tea leaves?

Somdev Devvarman will break into top 50 next year (November 27, 2010)
"His career will further gain momentum and continue with enough steam till 2016". He reached a career-high #62 in 2011, before freefalling out of the top 600 in 2012.

Federer wouldn’t pose big challenge at Wimbledon (June 23, 2012)
"In 2012 also, the impact of Uranus may not be too imposing and Federer would not pose a big challenge. The real battle would be between Nadal and Djokovic."

Talking out uranus there, Octo. He followed that up three weeks later with a very slight modification to his predictions. Can you spot it?
Roger Federer is not done yet (July 14, 2012)
    :lol::lol::lol:

And that's just tennis. "[Usain] Bolt will not win gold, Blake marked for glory" (Bolt wins three golds, breaks 100m OR and relay WR). "Olympics: India will surprise one and all in hockey" (they won no medals, as everyone except Octo predicted). And my personal favourite, "Lionel Messi will fall short of greatness" ("The three times consecutive FIFA player of the year will not be able to make it the fourth time in 2012 or 2013", before he scored 90+ goals in a calendar year and made himself a lock for his fourth consecutive Ballon d'Or).

    This guy's a comedy goldmine.

    Regards,
    MDL

No, it's true. Many athletes from other sports have far worse injury than what Nadal and his team have claimed. Yet, these athletes takes short time frame to recover and return to play, not like 8+ months. Nadal is not on crutches...he's out playing soccer, tennis, jet skiing....

It's a over use recurring injury. The kind of problem that ended Owen Hargraves' (football/soccer player) career. He kept coming back, getting injured, coming back, getting injured. It can be a more serious problem than a lot of apparently more serious injuries. Rafa is trying that something like that doesn't happen to him.

Nadal is a legend but I absolutely cannot see him at age 27 doing what he managed to do at age 22-24. Prime years are over, body is breaking and unreliable, and injuries becoming tougher to overcome. Can't regain your youth no matter how hard you train.

the sky doesn't lie: uranus just moved from the constellation of the bull to the constellation of the chair and is already heading straight in the direction of the hot plate nebula. some bananic clouds on the way, but should it be a problem ?

It's just interesting to me, to go back and read threads and have a bit of a laugh at the naysayers.

    Some people never learn.

I'm not a big fan of predictions, but I would never say with a certainty what someone can, or cannot do.

I heard somewhere that it is some kind of Octopus that hits 80 winners in one set. I guess he has an eight-handed backhand, and a four-handed forehand of doom.

Staggering knowledge of astronomy, my friend.

Did you leave the transit of uranus into the goldfish constellation (Pisces) for me to add. That's in November during the WTF.

Not true at all! If anything, I think you and Vive are the exception to the rule, with most other subjects ranking slightly below the IQ level of a baby orangutan. :)

However, I hope we can both agree that Chico and 5555 make the rest of us look like Nobel laureates. ;)
