Here's an odd question for you guys, but an important one: What's the best kind of laundry detergent for washing tennis apparel? I ask because tennis apparel is expensive and it's obviously made out of a better quality material then your normal clothes so I'd like to take the best care of it that I can.

Anyone have any suggestions? Do you just use whatever detergent you normally use but with a less amount?

I just wash it with Tide Cold laundy soap. I do all of my laundry in cold water and let it hang dry. It works well enough for me and doesn't carry any of the weird smells! :)

    +1 on the Tide Cold.

I still use a dryer for mine on normal...no odors or wear issues from it for me.

Just follow the example of Tony Roche. Former Grand Slam winner who only owned one pair of tennis shorts at a time. After a match he would wear his tennis togs into the shower, soap up, rinse and then hang out to dry.
