Hello people... my name is Vince Jaramillo

I was in 16 champs last august, then i had a little back injury around november, and picked back up again around begining of january... unfortuanatley my b-day is may 2, so i didnt have enough time to super up, therefor i have been moved down to 18 zat.

I live in near dallas.

I play alot of tennis, and i am pretty confident in winning my first zat in june.

Im am sure i am the equivlant to a decent 18's champ.

Yeah...he has two types of playing styles: 1. Going for a winner on every shot, and serving bombs that don't land on target. and 2. Playing control/consistency and hitting slice serves He usually goes for number 1 though, he may be trying to make up for something. ;)

Anyways good job, how many more points do you need to champ up?

PS: You should have seen his serve when he used his Pure Drive......He's using a K95 now to tone it down.

I played pretty well but I had to play some amazing kid in the quarters.
won first round 7-6 6-4
won second round 3-6 61 10-8
lost quarters 4-6 2-6

I've got 40 points now so I need a final to champ up.

This was the hardest draw I've ever had. In my last 2 zats the first 2 rounds were so easy (6-0 6-1 kind of matches). In this one all 3 kids were good. The kid I lost to was on his school's varsity (I think klein but I can't remember)

Yeah, once my ankles back to 100% I'm curious to see how 16's is. I haven't played USTA since December when I was in 14's...

I'm not playing til' July though, physical therapy is over on May 25th, but I need about a month to get back my 'skills'

I've heard that the 16's isn't much different, the kids just hit harder and are less consistent.

Does that sum it up well?

what happened man?! your all beat up.

its not that much different, just occasionally you'll get somebody who hits a ginormous serve and hits everything hard and IN. but other than that its just like 14's;)

Football happened.......I used to play on the line and then I got hit real hard and all my weight (about 260lbs at the time) went onto my right ankle and I was out for about 3 months. I decided to quit football and take up tennis again ( I played in jr. high) So I made the tennis team while doing physical therapy to get my ankle back, and was only able to play 3 tournaments. I'm also trying to get back down in weight so that I can move around a little quicker. I'm at 6'0 about 190lbs right now, but I'd like to lose a little bit more.
Anyways, hopefully I'll get to show you how tennis is played sometime ;)

I'm all tennis now =]

ha don't worry about it, I'm going with a few kids from my school as well. Would have been cool to hit with a fellow TTW member though. I'm playing some ZATS this summer around my area, but if you champ up soon, I'll be up there with you in a little while and you'll get to see how tennis is played ;)
