I haven't played in about 2 months (I called everyone on my tennis team, and none of them ever want to play), and I went down this afternoon by myself to practice serves. OH MY GOD. I feel like i'm learning how to serve for the first time. Every single serve I hit the ball with the V of the racquet and it went straight into the ground. Same deal with groundstrokes, which just went into the net. I can normally hit serves pushing 90 mph and my groundstrokes are great too.

How long do you reckon it'll take to get back into the game fully?

I know what you mean, though I've never had such a long drought before. If I don't play for a while (week, 2) I feel like I have to play for a couple days to get everything back.

However, if you really did have your groundstrokes and serve really down, it shouldn't take long to get it back. Just try to remember the basics: ie knees bent when serving and hitting.
