Absolutely no disrespect intended! Was just curious how much it would cost to own one of these. I'm sure you understand, everyone would dream of that.
Anyway, any more adulation and it would be fanboy drool. More fabfed more! :)

And yeah, I do respect your "major contribution"!

I'm not sure whether Fabfed wants to share any numbers with you but Roger's BLX at the Australian Open went for around 22k if I remember correctly.
At his website a racket was sold last year for around 15k.
Just to give you a rough idea that these things dont go for cheap ;)

I know that would be an option, but talk about killing the collectibility value.

    Blasphemy!

Ron Yu of P1 offered restringing services should/when the gut in Federer's frames breaks:

    From this thread.

^ I guess I would be the only fool that would take these racquets out for a hit... ;) I'am the blasphemous one though. Then again, if I owned these I would never dare think of selling them... so why not hit with them. Knowing myself, I would probably wake up at 3 in the morning one day and start the 'racquet dissection'...
P1 would obviously the only logical place to restring.

I find it...weird that someone can spend at least, if not more than $20,000 on tennis raquets but won't shell out $30.00 for a Photobucket account.

    No other options?

I'm not trolling you buddy, I just can't help think this trollish thought that's all.

I will gladly pay the $30 if you want, just give me the user name and password.

    Thanks!

Fair point. I just never thought about it at the beginning, and I really didn't expect the bandwidth for the free account to be exceeded so quickly. There are certainly other options I suppose, the easiest being a paid account, but I don't deem it necessary seeing as I only use it for TT and I don't post pics frequently and I hardly post for that matter.

I know some posters think I'm weird, I have some pro sticks but refuse to get them measured or try hitting with them, I prefer to just display them in their current "pristine" condition, but hey, to each his own, right?

No worries buddy, I think you're a riot and I always enjoy reading your posts....and thanks for the offer of paying for my account :)

There is really no way to tell without removing them, which shouldn't be done! LOL

Oh BTW i told you that Nadal's strings had "hurricanes" painted on them!

well depends if you have used it because every brand of string savers are different in their own way. either the colors they have or the shape or whatever.

anyways yeah .. but i dont understand why he would suddenly use hurricane or pht, he had so many years to make the switch? should be at least painted tour duralast or rpm blast

Hey Fabfed, congrats on your awesome collection!that is quite something.
Could it be safely said, looking at your posted pics, that Roger's wilson buttcap does not have a trapdoor?
Also, amongst your stupendous collection, I saw a Wilson Hyper Pro Staff.
I was wondering whether that one also comes without a trapdoor?
    Many thanks in advance

No, a black-colored Duralast exclusively made for Nadal to promote RPM Blast.

That's because he's from babolat and it's the string they're promoting.

This collection is insane. Interesting to note the difference in shoe weight for Fed vs retail version. Also fairly obvious that Nadal does not use Cortex. Also, what gives with him using 4 1/4? I guess it's easier to produce a lot of torque with a small grip.
Thanks again for posting this amazing collection, Fabfed!

Man how do they shrinkwrap the overgrip tape on Fed's rackets like that? on Nadal's it's obvious somebody just tapes it along the top but on Federers the tape is shrunk to perfectly fit.

Guy from Babolat Never told me that sort ofcrap. We talked about Babolat frames and strings, told me he used duralast for years even if they wanted him to change, and the old version of the APD. They asked him to come to Lyon, to try the RPM and said he liked it. End of the story, I'm not there to prove anything.

Probably not. That's been said but there's not a huge reason to think that he's NOT using RPM blast. He may very well have made the switch. Some people commented at the beginning of last season that he wasn't putting as much spin on the ball but seemed to be getting more pace.. that's more a property of RPM than it is of duralast.. and why would babolat go through all that trouble of recoloring and smoking (to get rid of the transparent properties of Duralast) just to market the string RPM Blast? How can you be so sure theyd even be able to without drastically changing the string properties?

It was another guy then ;-)

"Pro Hurricane Nadal" is what was printed on his reels when he was promoting Hurricane but it was really Duralast. "Pro Hurricane Nadal" was also on his strings when he started to use a black string. Why is that, if he uses standard RPM Blast? :)

Uh, because Nadal doesn't use Standard RPM Blast? it only comesi n 16 and 17 gauge, and he'd be using 15L, so therefore they'd label it as specifically made for him
