They thought you liked Monk better on USA so they asked the CBS people to take care of tennis for the day.

I think CBS always gets the coverage on Labor Day.

Anyways, most television listings will say that CBS has today. Are you looking at USA's website for the schedule? They'll only really mention their own schedule (maybe because they're now owned by NBC?).

I looked on usanetwork.com and looked up the listings... It has a "Monk" marathon untill 6:00 tonight. At that time, tennis is on for the night session matches.

Jerry Lewis pre-empts tennis on Labour Day, its a tradition, playa. Our CBS station just went to a commercial during the Henman/Keifer tie-break.

Yep, unless your local CBS affiliate station is actually owned by the network (as the LA, NYC, Chicago stations are) then you are subject to the whims of local programmers. A friend of mine missed most of Saturday's coverage for a local college football game, and all of today's coverage for the Jerry Lewis Telethon (can't a UPN or WB affiliate cover that?). Find a friend with a satellite dish that has a NY network feed.

For those that get cursed by Jerry Lewis' telethon, I'm sorry (as much as I'm cool about charity, that telethon always annoyed the crap out of me)...

In my area, the situation isn't bad at all and I guess I'm fortunate. If I was in Portland (biggest city in Oregon), I'd be watching the news right now. I'm wedged between Portland and Eugene (city #2 in Oregon). Eugene doesn't have intervening news right now. Go fig...

CBS probably wonders why ratings aren't as big on labor day as they'd like maybe?

But for those dealing with Jerry Lewis... I AM REALLY FEELING FOR YOU GUYS... My childhood wants to say empathy, but I guess it's more sympathy to be honest.... Sorry folks....
