First a seemingly well playing Istomin gets bumped out by Falla, then Raonic pulls out with an ankle injury giving Murray a free pass to the 4th round, now Berdych who is an umcofortable opponent for Muzza gets beaten by Dimitrov.

It can get even better, though, if Melzer loses to Simon aka "baby Murray".

Sometimes lack of matches can get tricky. Especially on Murray's dodgy start offs.

Does Raonic constitute the difference between a "tough" and "easy" draw?

    No.

Facing Falla, BYE, Simon, Tipsarevic/Dimitrov instead of an in-form Istomin/Raonic/Melzer/Berdych does.

Considering his run of form in Miami these past 2 years he could do with a bit of luck.

It's the second time it happened this year.

2012 AO - he was on schedule to play Monfils in R4 and Tsonga (coming off of finals in 2011 Paris Masters/WTF and a victory in Doha 2012) in the quarterfinals. He faced Kukushkin and Nishikori instead.

Murray prayed to God to give him some of Ralph's cake. Apparently God obliged.

This is true, I think Murray needs to play as many high-pressure matches as he can before Nadal (also would improve his confidence for the rest of the season in general). Also, we've seen how walkovers can wreak havoc on a player's rhythm (Djoker FO last year).

    Milos retired? Awww. :-(

I was looking forward to seeing him play.

Also, I hope that ankle injury is not too severe. Every time I hope one of my treetop favorites has dodged the Tall Man Injury Pixies, he hurts himself. Bummer.

Who played better than Monfils and Tsonga in that tournament apparantly

Didn't help Djoker much to play Isner instead of Murray

yeah I know man, and looks like Simon is going through. I was pleased for Dimitrov though and the way Berdych has been playing, Murray would have beaten him most likely.

well with an easier draw, Murray might actually make his way up to the semi final now, though I hope Dimitrov can keep going and take out all

People don't seem to enjoy Simon / Murray matches, because they play so much alike. I actually enjoy them.

yeah i have to admit i find simon murray matches really boring.. but that'sjust mt opinion. Also there's no doubt Murray will win, so that makes it worse.

Wonder what Ralph is praying for after already getting his cake.
Isner just lost, so I don't know what you can call his draw now :)

Simon is by far the worse player to watch (at least in top 50). He is the ultimate pusher.

QFT. You need to watch his match to understand what a 'pusher' means.

It's actually even much "better" than you thought, as Simon is through, but injured, and may withdraw before the next round...

You beat me to it, but it's actually quite likely. Simon said he will play only if he feels 100%...

    Hi everybody,

Should it be the case, nothing much to be happy about as Murray would lack competition, which, all in all, might put him in the same position as Djokovic in Paris last year.
Moreover, he was not that impressive against Falla, broken twice if my memory serves me right..

You cared enough to make a thread about it, then you cared enough to post:

Imagine if Murray received another W/O...

Those are not the actions of a person who doesn't care.

I don't care about Albert Ramos - that's how come I don't make threads about him.

I didn't make a thread about Murray having potentially 2 walkovers in a row. At least I wouldn't care longer than 3 seconds with a "wow he got 2 walkovers in a row" thought. Move on.

As a fan of Murray, I sure hope not. I still remember when my precious MoMo won the AO in '06 after Hateful Henin retired with some lame "My tummy hurts" excuse. The crap she got for that victory still continues today, even though she beat Hand-y Henin a couple months later at Wimbledon.

When Twilight wins his first Slam, I want it to be the RIGHT way, and I sincerely hope that he gets a victory over at least one of Rafa/Nole/******** on the way there. It will be all the sweeter for it.

Nope - you just posted about Murray having 2 walkovers in a row on the thread you made about him having a walkover.

Imagine if Murray received another W/O...

    That's how little you care.

Look mate - you've been caught red handed - you're a Murray carer; there's no point in denying it now.

Lolz, I don't give a flying f about Murray's draw as long as Fed's in the other half. I thought the thread might be interesting for others, not that I personally care.

A week ago I made a thread about Simon Reed's comment regarding Federer's future. Does it mean I give a s*** what he says? Get a grip.

You're the one who seems obsessed with Murray, no matter what I say about him you come here to defend your boy. From the moment this thread appeared in the pro match results section you've been all over it.

    :) This is brilliant.

You're the guy who doesn't care about Murray's walkovers yet you started a thread about it. I'm the guy who is 'all over' this thread and yet by the time I contributed on page 2, you had already posted 4 times. Mostly my contributions on this thread have been responses to you - the guy who creates threads about things that he cares nothing about.

You're a Murray Carer dude - deal with it. I think you care quite a lot; it's OK - we all feel a bit odd when we realise how much we care about the young scamp - but just let it out. You'll feel better for it - and it'll be nice to have another Murray fan on the bandwagon.

Agreed. Too many walkovers can actually be bad for a player. Murray badly needs some match practice as he hasn't really had much since Dubai over a month ago.

Lol...in which case he was still more impressive than in any of his other opening matches this year where he dropped at least one set!

What the f is your problem? Are you some kind of follower of Murraytardism forcing others into your own religion? Or simply implying that someone cares about Murray even though he doesn't? Get a life already, and stop being so obsessed with Murray or you'll lose your mind

But you yourself stated in one of your posts "Imagine if Murray received another W/O..."

Then after inviting us all to imagine this you do a complete turnaround and declare "like I care if Murray gets another W/O..."

So why imagine something you don't care about?

    Just asking.:)

Denial is not a river in Egypt dude - your Murray love is dripping from the thread; don't be denying it now. You care. You care a lot. You care like it's Caring Week in the United Nations Year of the Carer. It's a beautiful thing.

Can you imagine what it would be like if tennis pro actually DIDN'T care about Murray possibly getting a (2nd) walkover?

    Horrifying.

Playing Simon certainly got Murray plenty of matchplay. Man what a long match considering the score.

Also, nice to see Murray at the net so frequently. Still needs to improve the serving if he's gonna take out Nadal.

People make me laugh. Every time they play, as similar as their style is, someone is surprised about how long the match goes. :)

I didn't see how he did against Nishikori, but I'm not sure the scoreline told the whole story. I get the feeling Rafa's not playing that well this past couple of rounds.
Which is kind of a drag. :-?

He'll come out of the closet soon enough.
Can't go on repressing his feelings. It's unhealthy.

I have a feeling that today Tipsarevic does an Isner and finally earns the recognition he deserves.
I've said before I beleive Tipsarevic, on his game, is the equal of Djokovic. Maybe even slightly better.
I think you'll see tonight when he beats on form Murray I hate to say.
