It is quite difficult for most stringers to chose the right tensions for different racquets and for players with completely different types of play.

Apart from that it is very important to use the right difference in tension between mains and crosses in order to achieve the minimum stress in the racquet after stringing.

Stringway has made an online advisor based on their Tension Advisor system.

The Advisor advises the right string-bed-stiffness (DT or kg/cm) and calculates the right tensions for a certain racquet based on the type of play, preferences and possible arm injuries.

The advisor can be used by pushing the red button on the front page of the SW site.
The US and GB sites calculate the tensions in lbs.

Perhaps this is useful for any of you, I use the TA system for many years already, it is built into my EM450.

Same here. This is a working model for coming up with meaningful, rather than random, tensions. Love it.

Just strung a racquet with this and am VERY happy with the results

I chose a sbs of 31kg/cm and on an apdgt, it worked out to around 56/54....

    loving it

    thx
